1 . Confucius (孔子) had a lot to say about how to live a good life. What’s your favorite Confucius saying? Students from Medfield School posted their favorite sayings on this class webpage.

Tam—“Do not do to others as you do not wish to be done to you.”

I like it best. To me, it’s the most important life rule. Just the other day, I was with a friend in class and she started talking badly about a classmate of ours. I kept on thinking about how bad our classmate would feel if he knew she was saying such terrible things! I know I wouldn’t like it!

Rosa—“In the company of two others, I can always find one worthy of being my teacher.”

It is my favorite. I like to remind (提醒) myself of this saying when practicing with classmates in school. I can learn a lot from others, even from their mistakes. This saying gives me courage and reminds me to pay attention.

Andre—“To go too far is as bad as to fall short."

This is my favorite. It means that to do too much of something is as bad as not doing enough. For example, I wanted to lose a few kilos for a big party so I didn’t eat enough and exercised all the time. In the end, I got really sick and couldn’t even go to the party! For me, it’s important to find a balance (平衡) to achieve my dreams.

3 . High-speed trains, Alipay（支付宝）, shared bikes and online payment are seen as the new Four Great Achievements of China by young foreigners,according to a video survey by the Silk Road Research Institute of Beijing Foreign Studies University. In the video, young people from 20 countries along the Belt and Road routes（“一带一路”）were asked to name great inventions that had influenced their lives in China.

The following is what they said from 4 young people of them.

4 . The task of fixing climate (气候) change is important. It needs work from different governments and countries. It seems impossible that the common person can make a difference. Should you just give up? No! Change starts with you. Here are just a few things you can do to save the Earth.

	Level 1: Things you can do from your sofa ● Save electricity by turning appliances (电器) off completely when they are not in use. ● Stop paper bank bills and pay your bills online. ● Share; don't just like. If you see something interesting on the Internet about climate change, share it so that circle of your friends can see it, too.
	Level 2: Things you can do at home ● Air dry. Let your hair and clothes dry naturally, instead of using a machine. ● Take short showers. Bathtubs (浴缸) need much more water than a ten-minute shower. ● Recycle paper, plastic and glass. ● Replace old appliances with energy-saving models.
	Level 3: Things you can do outside your house ● Bike, walk, take a bus or an underground. ● Use a glass or plastic water bottle and china coffee cup. This can cut down on waste and maybe even save your money. ● Bring your own bag when you shop. Pass on the plastic bag. ● Give away what you don't use. Local community will give your used clothes, books and furniture a new life.
