Also, recycling and upcycling save power and make less pollution from making new things. It also helps to stop bad air that makes the Earth too hot. 8 . Safer Internet Day is on the second Tuesday of February every year. On this day, people in around 170 countries take part in activities to try to make the Internet a safer place for children and young people.
Safer Internet Day celebrates all the great things about being online. We can use the Internet to learn new things, video call family members who live far away, chat to friends, listen to music, watch videos and play games. But there can also be dangers when we are online. Sometimes someone uses the Internet to make another person feel bad, often with bad messages on messaging apps or social media (社交媒体). Sometimes some game players post unkind messages in the chat box. On Safer Internet Day in the UK, children do activities at school, at home, in youth groups and in other places.
They do quizzes and worksheets (小测试和练习题), read stories, watch films, make posters and have discussions about how to stay safe online.
Here are some tips on how to stay safe online:
*▲If you see something online that makes you scared or worried, or if you know that someone is being bullied, tell a parent, a teacher or another adult who you trust. If someone is unkind while you are playing a game, an adult can help you report or block that player.
*Don’t meet people who you only know online. It’s possible that people you meet online aren’t really who they say they are. It can be unsafe to go to meet them in real life.
*Not everything you read online is true. When you look for information, make sure that you use a website you can trust. And only share things with your friends if you know that they are true.

Kyle Breede, a 12-year-old boy from Maryland, the USA, has done that ever since he was six years old. On November 19th every year, Kyle invites his friend to his birthday celebration. When Kyle was five, he asked his parents how he could help others. Kyle’s parents were excited to hear that and they helped him get in touch with Toys for Tots. From then on, he has looked forward to his birthday, but only to get toys. Then he collects the toys and goes to the Toys for Tots celebration to donate them.
John Minadakis, who hosted a Toys for Tots celebration, said he had never seen someone give so much at such a young age. He believed the ability to put others before himself could take the boy far in life.

10 . I don’t remember my camping experience with my family as a kid. But I do remember my first camping trip as an adult. It was terrible. Ten years passed, I learned many lessons the hard way. Now I am an experienced camper. I want to share my experiences with beginners.
For beginner campers, choosing a popular camping place which is close to home is the most important thing. And it’s better to choose a camping place with bathrooms. And you will feel more comfortable when you set up your tent near other campers. What’s more, if there is an information center, it will be more convenient.
When you consider what to wear, you need to check the weather and the season. You also need to think about how long you will be camping and what you plan to do, such as going boating or hiking.
It’s always smart to take several clothes, especially when camping in the mountains. The temperatures there can change a lot.
About what to eat, though I have many tools for cooking, most of the time, I do everything possible to get away from cooking while camping. I always pack foods that are ready-to-eat or foods that I can prepare at home to take with me. That means less time cooking and I can pack fewer things and do not have as much to clean up.
To stop unwanted terrible situations from happening, like wildfires and bear attacks (攻击), what should we keep in mind?
