Customs on Eating

Food in China and western countries is different. China has about five thousand years’ history. Chinese people may spend half of their time on food. They choose food very carefully. They only use fresh materials to make food. For example, they only eat fresh fish. Chinese people have a lot of ideas for cooking. They can cook a chicken in over ten ways.     1     Western countries, like England or America, don’t have fresh food because they buy their food from supermarkets. They only sell stored materials.     2     They are unhealthy for people’s body. Western people are very good at making desserts and chocolates. They can make very good cakes and chocolates.     3    

In China, when people invite others for a meal, they would pay for the meal, but it’s not the same way in western countries.     4     They won’t be happy if you pay for them.

Another difference in eating is that:     5    

Chinese people only have three meals in a day. But western people may have more. They usually have afternoon tea when they would have fruit or cakes with cheese.

3 . How do you often go to school? Do you take a bus or a car? These ways mean you have to stay on the ground. But have you ever dreamed of flying to school?     1     Now let me introduce the first flying motorcycle in the world to you.

Its name is Speeder and it's made in the USA. Speeder has no wheels, but there is a screen on it.     2     It can fly for 10 to 22 minutes each time.    3     That's much faster than a car. It can fly more than 4,500 meters high.

What's more, Speeder can move things or people more easily than a helicopter（直升机）.     4    

Maybe you want to have one and fly it to school right now. But if you want to ride Speeder, you have to have a pilot's license first.     5     If you're too heavy, it will be too hard for Speeder to take off.

How to Look After a Computer?

Many young people use computers, but few of them know how to look after them. Remember the following when you use your computer.

Keep your computer in a cool, dry room.     1     Moisture(潮湿) is also bad for them. Most computers work best at a temperature of 5℃-30℃.

    2     Smoke of all kinds is very bad for many parts of a computer and can cause many problems.

    3     Pieces of food and even a little water in the keyboard can also cause many problems.

Make sure that the keyboard and screen are the correct height for you.    4    

Make sure the screen is the correct distance(距离) from your eyes. If you wear glasses, make sure these glasses are correct for using the computer.    5     Keep your screen clean and don't have it too bright. A dirty screen can hurt your eyes. A very bright screen can also be bad for your eyes.
