文章大意:这是一篇说明文。消费信贷产品公司Money的专家发布了首个月球贷款指南,该指南显示,在月球表面生活每月将花费325067美元。文章主要讲述了月球生活所需费用。

1 . NASA is making preparations to send a crew to the moon who will explore the lunar surface with the hope of constructing a stable habitat. Although the American space agency focuses on just sending astronauts, other companies are looking further into the future for when humans will colonize the natural satellite.

Experts at Money, a company for consumer credit products, released the first-ever moon loan guide that reveals living on the lunar surface would cost $325,067 a month.

“With the Earth becoming increasingly populated and space technology advancing, it won’t be long before lunar living becomes the new normal,” reads the study. The team from Money used various factors to calculate the cost of a house on the moon: raw materials needed to build a house, the special materials needed to build on the moon’s atmosphere, astronauts required to travel to build, and the average cost of transporting materials to the moon.

According to the moon loan guide, the first fully functioning house on the moon would be $48, 454, 063, which is a high price for a home. The price includes adding life-saving details to homes such as air seals, industrial-strength air-conditioners and heaters. “Generating energy is vital when living in such extreme conditions, and therefore the cost of some supplies may force you to consider some alternative options. The most efficient way to generate electricity on the moon is to buy a small nuclear reactor costing S1. 3 million, “Money shares in the study. “Alternatively, 34 solar panels would generate enough electricity to run one house and cost only $23, 616 in comparison.”

The guide also reveals the most ideal locations on the moon, with “Sea of Rains” being considered” the perfect family suburb” — this region sits at the north and is one of the largest impact craters in the Solar System.

1. What’s the purpose of NASA sending a crew to the moon?
A.To encourage companies to release moon loan.B.To colonize the moon alone.
C.To explore the moon for natural resources.D.To build a lasting living place on the moon.
2. Which of the following was not considered when the team estimated the cost of a lunar house?
A.Materials needed to build a house on the moon.
B.The cost of looking for the most ideal location on the moon.
C.Astronauts needed to travel to build a house on the moon.
D.The average cost of transporting materials to the moon.
3. What can we infer from the study?
A.Lunar living won’t take long to become a reality.
B.The first house on the moon will be the most expensive home.
C.You will definitely buy a nuclear reactor to generate electricity on the moon.
D.The perfect location on the moon for living is the largest impact crater in the Solar System.
4. What’s the text mainly about?
A.The first loan guide about living on the moon.
B.The moon-the most ideal living place for humans.
C.NASA will send astronauts to the moon.
D.Living on the moon has become possible.

2 . In 1969, when Neil Armstrong first landed on the Moon, many people thought soon we would be regularly visiting other planets. This is clearly not the case. The reality is that space exploration is extremely difficult and dangerous. Some people believe it is a waste of the public purse and does nothing to improve our lives. Why do we continue to explore space, then?

1     From the very early days of human life on the Earth, our curiosity about the unknown has kept us adventuring into new places. While space exploration is a reality, we remain curious about the mysteries of the universe. With each space mission comes greater insight, thus motivating us to continue along the same path of adventure.

With technologies developed for space exploration, we can solve some big problems facing mankind, making our lives safer and easier.    2     Originally applied to the space shuttle launch, they have also been set up in the cities with a high frequency of earthquakes to protect buildings and save lives.

Although space exploration demands huge investment, it can actually bring great economic value. The global space economy is increasing by billions of dollars every year.     3     Jobs in the space industry go far beyond the astronauts. There are many support staff on the ground, such as engineers and research assistants.

Moreover, the amazing work can provide education and inspiration for the next generation. Such wonders as a space shuttle launch or astronauts walking on the Moon are incredibly inspiring to witness. These moments shape children’s lives forever and motivate them to become the scientists and engineers of the future.     4

When the United Nations World Food Program appealed to him for $6 billion to tackle the global food crisis, Musk quoted Cao Zhi’s seven-step poem: “Boil beans and burn beans, and beans weep in the cauldron. This is the same root, fried why too fast.”

Besides Musk, it’s amazing to know that an Italian astronaut working on the International Space Station wrote on his social media account: “The universe is so big and has so much stuff to watch, and it’s great to see and know and drink.”

She had studied at a Chinese astronaut training base. Before she came to China, she had learned to speak fluent Chinese. She quoted the Preface to the Works of Lanting because she had a good friend who was a Sinologist. Before the flight, her Sinologist friend suggested that she quote this line from the Preface to the Lanting Collection.

Chinese belongs to an elite(精英的)culture in European and American countries. Ordinary people in Europe and America have no interest in Chinese. They will not learn ancient Chinese poetry or sing Jasmine Flower. First, Chinese is really too difficult for most ordinary people in Europe and America to learn. However, in the elite circles of Europe and America, it is different. No matter in politics, business, aviation and aerospace, or technological research, China is indispensable. Not only the European astronauts have to learn Chinese, but also the staff of the Saudi Arabian and Emirates airlines who work closely with China. Even American astronauts need to learn Chinese ahead of time.

Learning Chinese, starting from children, is the European and American elites based on the future of China’s global influence will be more and more strong judgment. They plan ahead and plan ahead for the next generation.

Learning Chinese is essential if astronauts from around the world want to work on China’s space station. This is why the Italian astronaut learned Chinese in advance. She can learn Chinese, not necessarily go to the Chinese space station, but she can also become a coach for the next generation of European astronauts, to educate the next generation of European astronauts in Chinese.

In particular, China has announced its plan to land on the moon, and its goal is to build a permanent base on the moon. Any astronaut needs to learn at least two languages, either in an American or Chinese spaceship. There is no third option in the future. Therefore, Chinese is directly related to the career and future, the elite of Europe and America do not learn Chinese, really can’t.

Last Thursday afternoon, I attended for a special online class given by the Shenzhou-13 crew members from Tiangong Space Station.

The amazing class started at 3: 40 but lasted about 45 minutes. At the beginning of the class, under the help of the other two workmates, Wang Yaping showed us their living and working areas. He is the first female astronaut enter China’s space station. To my astonished, they have a fully functional kitchen. After the “house tour”, the crew worked together to conduct some experiments linking to cells and liquids in the weightless environment. They also explained the reason that astronauts couldn’t walk as they use to do on Earth.

文章大意:这是一篇议论文。文章主要就人类是否应该探索太空展开,论述了太空探索对人类的种种影响和好处。

9 . Should humans explore space? If you ask me, I’ll definitely give a positive answer.

The space exploration has a direct impact on the lives of humans, as well as the state of our world. Satellites moving around the earth enable communication across the world, connecting people of different continents and broadcasting information worldwide. The Global Positioning System(GPS) can identify our location anywhere. Furthermore, weather satellites can forecast harmful weather conditions, which allows humans to prepare for deadly natural disasters and save lives.

Space programs can also indirectly lead to the solution to poverty and world hunger. For example, large plots of land could be used far better if humans applied technologies. The most effective tool is the artificial earth satellite. It can screen areas of land within a very short time, indicating useful measures, such as the condition of crops, soil, rainfall, and droughts. It can then transmit this information to ground stations on the earth for better use.

In recent years, space-based technologies have become an important factor to reach and expand global health objectives. Information provided by remote technologies can be applied to study the epidemiology. This data provided by space technologies can monitor disease patterns, understand the environmental causes that spread it, make predictions about where it can spread in the future, and make plans to fight it efficiently.

Furthermore, space exploration is something we can do for future generations. Mankind is using the resources provided on the planet, but these will run out one day. Overpopulation can be an existential threat for all mankind. With the advancement of space technology, it will be wise to use and explore the vast potential of other planets, such as the availability of mining resources on asteroids or other planets.

For the exploration of the universe, perhaps the most advantageous of all is that it will unite us to work together for a common purpose, regardless of our differences.

1. What can space exploration do according to Paragraph 2?
A.Improve the traffic on the earth.B.Help humans communicate and spread information.
C.Help prevent deadly natural disasters.D.Promote travel between countries.
2. How can space programs help solve poverty and world hunger?
A.By benefiting crop production with artificial earth satellites.
B.By transporting food worldwide more easily.
C.By creating job opportunities for the poor.
D.By protecting available land resources.
3. What does the writer think of mining resources on other planets?
A.Time-wasting.B.Arguable.C.Unnecessary.D.Rewarding.
4. What is the text?
A.An advertisement.B.An argumentative essay.
C.A speech.D.A news report.
