The son approaches the table nervously and says he has decided not to go to university. He wants     1    (focus) on his band and have a career in music when he leaves school.     2    (hear) this, the father says, “What about your future career as a lawyer?!” “You just assume I want to be a lawyer, but that’s because you are a lawyer,” says the son. The father thinks lawyers help people and    3    (respect) by others. But the son isn’t interested in law.

The grandfather says, “I remember when you were his age, you said you wanted to be a     4    (profession) football player.” “And you wanted me to be an engineer!” says the father. “But in     5     end, you just advised me to think     6    (careful).” “Yes, and you have found the career     7     suits your talents. I’m proud of you and so is your son,” says the grandfather. The grandfather asks the grandson to take his     8    (advise) and think twice before jumping in    9     both feet. He also says if his grandson goes to university and plays music at the same time, he will have two     10    (option) for his future.
