2 . Interactive Virtual Science Lab
What if you are home-schooled and your family can’t afford to build a lab at your home? These are realistic, interactive, virtual lab experiments that 9th-12th grade home-schooled students love and can perform from the convenience of home.

How Does It Work?
A student is registered for one-week lab experiments that include:
●Daily 20-30 minute online class(each weekday for one week)with Greg Landry for instruction. This includes instruction on creating high quality lab reports and background instruction for each of the ten lab experiments we`ll conduct. Students can attend the live class or use the recording.
●Students will have a daily task(conduct two experiments in our interactive virtual lab and create two lab reports)to turn in.
●There are no supplies with our online lab experiments! Everything is done online in our interactive lab! With their mouse and keyboard, students follow a step-by-step “method”(also called “procedure”)to perform all the steps in the experiment.
●Students record all data from the experiment in their lab notebook and create a lab report which will be graded by Greg Landry and instructed for improvement.

Greg Landry is a 20-year experienced home-school dad and former college professor. He has taught several thousand home-schooled students for over 20 years.

Some museums hold stranger collections than others. Here's our list of the extremely unusual ones.
The Museum of Bad Art
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to the curators at the Museum of Bad Art, none of these pieces are beautiful. They're either bad pieces made by otherwise talented artists, or bad pieces made by untalented artists. The collection includes portraits, landscapes, and still life pieces.
International Banana Museum
You can find practically every object shaped like a banana at this museum in Mecca, California. Some examples : staplers, statues, record players, and salt and pepper shakers. Even better, you can also eat practically any banana-flavored treat here, like banana ice cream, banana soda, and, of course, banana splits.
Busy Beaver Button Museum
Learn about the history of buttons. Appreciate a collection of political, humorous, and just plain entertaining buttons. You can even make your own button at this hidden Chicago museum. And you can get a reward if you complete some 18th century puzzles.
National Museum of Roller Skating
This museum in Lincoln. Nebraska, has the largest collection of historical roller skates, in the world. Some skates are almost 200 years old! There are also skating costumes, thousands of photos of skaters and programs from national and international roller skating competitions.
International UFO Museum and Research Center
Do aliens (外星人)exist? If so, what is their preferred mode of transportation? The IUFOMRC in Roswell, New Mexico, is dedicated to answering these questions and researching UFO activity. It includes exhibits on crop circles, Area 51 and other alien-related events. It even keeps an official record of UFO sightings across the country.

5 . National Zoo Stays Open Later for Zoo Lights Exhibit
Winter is the perfect time to see Washington in a different light. The crowds have thinned, and those humid 95-degree days are long gone. And the National Zoo is a different experience because of 500,000 bulbs that illuminate(照亮)the annual Zoo Lights celebration.
Eco-friendly twinkly lights will decorate zoo walkways, trees and buildings. Sculptures featuring popular zoo residents, including elephants and giant pandas, light up in time to music.
If walking and watching isn’t enough excitement, head to Lion & Tiger Hill, home to a 150-foot-long snowless tubing run. Rides on the trackless train and the carousel(欢闹)also will be available.
Don’t forget to visit a few of the zoo’s real animals. The Kids’ Farm, Reptile Discovery Center, Small Mammal House, Think Tank (orangutans) and Great Cats exhibit will be open in the evening. There’s no guarantee, however, that the animals will be as lively as the humans in attendance.

6 . International Volunteering in New Zealand
If you’re visiting New Zealand and would like to volunteer, DOC (Department of Concentration) welcomes you to get involved.
Before you come to New Zealand
You do not need a work visa to volunteer with DOC. You ran volunteer on entry to New Zealand as long as you do not receive payment or benefits.
You may need a police certificate
Depending on the volunteer work you do with us, you may be required to provide a police certificate to DOC. Your police certificate would need to be written and certified in English. It’s easier for you if you get a police certificate before you leave your country.

International students
Volunteering with DOS is an option to gain experience. However, DOC does not offer opportunities to students who study at:

7 . The Kids’ Farm
While kids visit vegetable plots and animal contact areas, they will learn that most of the food we eat every day comes from farms, and that taking care of animals takes time, commitment and knowledge.
Kids can see our cows, donkeys, goats, alpacas, pigs, etc. and learn all about looking after farm animals. At the Caring Corral, they will have a chance to touch cows and donkeys, under staff members’ supervision.
Please Note:
● Any time you touch an animal, there is a risk of spreading germs (细菌). Visitors to the Kids’ Farm should wash their hands after touching the animals.
● The Caring Corral is open only when the staff are available; hours are limited.
● The Kids’ Farm uses pizza to teach kids how many kinds of food grow. Hands-on exhibits show how pizza ingredients go from the farm to the pizza. The Pizza Garden has slice-shaped plots of growing ingredients, including tomatoes, wheat and herbs.
● The 22-foot-wide Giant Pizza gives kids a place to play with oversized toppings and each other.
● During the busier season (beginning in June) , a free shuttle picks up visitors in need of a lift at the Kids’ Farm and drops them off at the Panda Plaza/the Bus Lot from 11 a. m. to 6 p.m.

Coconut’s Water sports is open 7days a week for your convenience and offers tons of water fun for the whole family. Jet ski activities last 30 minutes or 1hour and can make stops along the way. You must be at least 14years of age to ride alone and can be as young as 3 to ride along with an adult. Everybody is required to wear a life jacket and a license is required to operate the jet ski. Bathing suits and shorts are recommended.

Jet Ski Tours of Miami includes onsite parking, indoor restrooms, lockers, and life jackets for participants. You may choose a one or two hour tour and each jet ski can hold up to 3 people.
