1 . Open Lands Day
Join us at the Rogue River Preserve for a very special Open Lands Day!
The preserve includes two miles of riverfront along the Rogue River, a large forest, and some woodlands. It is only open to the public during special events, work parties, and youth education programs. So, come and take advantage of this special opportunity and explore the trails at your own pace, attend a guided hike, bring a picnic lunch to enjoy by the river, or all three.
To limit crowding, registration is required for hikes or self-guided exploration for the day.

Pet Policy (政策): This preserve is protected to conserve special habitats. Therefore, we kindly ask you to leave your pets at home. Certified Assistance Dogs will be the only dogs that are allowed.

2 . Bird House Keeper Internship
The Smithsonian’s National Zoo’s. Bird House is looking for qualified interns (实习生) who are interested in developing zoo professional skills in animal care. Interns play an important role in animal conservation and have the unique opportunity to aid animal care staff in various responsibilities.
Interns will:
•Experience and learn all aspects of animal husbandry (畜牧业)
•Learn and follow animal and keeper safety guidelines and operations
•Complete a project and present findings to bird staff
• Perform other duties
Support will be given to any intern who wishes to pursue the publication of their project results at the cud of the internship.
Qualifications:
Strong preference will be given to undergraduate and graduate students or recent graduates pursuing a career in a related field.
•Previous animal experience in a zoo preferred but not required
•Flexible, reliable, self-motivated and a team player
•Ability to follow oral and written instructions
•Able to establish and maintain an effective relationship with people
• Strong written and oral communication
• Good observational skill
•Able to actively work in severe weather
Stipend (津贴):
This is an unpaid internship. Interns will be responsible for all transportation costs and personal health insurance.
Housing:
The intern will make his or her own housing arrangements in the Washington, D.C., area.
Parking:
The Smithsonian’s National Zoo and the Smithsonian Institution do not provide free parking to interns.
Term of appointment:
This is a three-month internship with the possibility of extending (延长) to six months. Interns must be able to commit 30-40 hours per week, including holidays and weekends.

My favorite TV program
My favorite TV program is Chinese Poetry Competition. The show has enjoyed greatly popularity since it launched by CCTV in 2016. Chen Geng from Beijing University had a outstanding performance but came out on top in this year' s season final. This TV show not only remind audience of those classic Chinese poem but also helps them truly appreciate the beauty and fun of poetry. That impresses me most is Flying Orders in the show, which I think is very dificul. This program lets me to enjoy the happiness brought by poetry. Afer watch the program, I begin to fall imto love with poems.
