Charles Peguy Centre (CPC)

The centre provides advice, support and information to young Europeans aged between 18~30. Facilities include an information and advice service regarding education, work placement and general welfare rights. Moreover, the centre holds a database of jobs. Members may use a fax machine, a copier and computers for CVs. Monday: 14:00~17:00; Tuesday ~ Friday: 10:00~17:00. Membership fees: £35 per year, plus £5 per month.

YMCA London Central (YMCALC)

Facilities include photography, art, drama, pottery, language courses, badminton, exercise to music, sports clinic, fitness testing and other activities. Weekdays: 07:00~22:30; Weekends: 10:00~21:00. Membership fees: aged 16~17, 25 per year plus attendance charge of £1.30 per visit; aged 18~19, £213 per year; aged 20~25, £366 per year.

Royal Overseas League (ROL)

It opens 365 days per year, which is a club with facilities, restaurants, bars and accommodation. There are branches around the world. There are quarterly magazines, literary lectures, annual music and art competitions, and summer and winter programs of events for members. Membership fees: students aged 17~24 are £47 per year + initial joining fee £23.50; others are £70 per year + initial joining fee £35.

Kensington Committee of Friendship for Overseas Students (KCOF)

KCOF is the society for young people from all countries. Each month there are some parties, discos, visits to theatres, concerts, walks and other gatherings where you will be able to meet lots of people. A new program is sent each month directly to members (£5 to join in October, less later in the year). Events are free or at reduced prices. It opens during 10:30~17:30 weekdays only.

4 . David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is delighted to welcome faithful supporters and new friends to join us at our annual Wildlife Ball to celebrate the natural world and conservation. Hosted by the grand Dorchester Hotel in London, the DSWF Wildlife Ball will take place on the 27th July 2022 where we’ll bring the wilderness to life with our very own Sundown Safari (观赏之旅).

Last year, the virtual Wildlife Ball raised over £800,000 for DSWF’s vital conservation efforts across Africa and Asia, despite not being able to celebrate in person. 5 . Puy du Fou is the second most visited theme park in France, after Paris Disneyland, and the world’s greatest, and most authentic, living history park.

Founded in 1977 by a young local aristocrat with a passion for history, Philippe de Villiers, the theme park has developed to become a multi-attraction historic theme park providing a trip back in time to different ages and times of the past.

Unlike Disneyland, Puy du Fou — while making sure that the attractions all provide a great visitor experience — also takes pride in ensuring a fair degree of historical accuracy. The sets and the shows are pictures of the world as it really was... with a few special effects added in.

In the summer holiday period (June to mid September), climax of the day is the famous “Cinéscénie”. the original event around which the Puy du Fou theme park has subsequently developed and expanded. This magnificent after-dark spectacular of light, fireworks, sound and action, set against the backdrop of the old Château du Puy du Fou, has been seen over the years by over 10 million spectators, lasting 1 hour and 40 minutes, involving 1200 actors and extras, and performed over a 50 acre stage.

Although we admit the fact that TV advertising works better over others in many aspects, TV advertising are not always the best choice for both companies and viewers. It has its negative (消极的) side sometimes. TV advertising is usually short, thus they do not express much information about the product. Besides, making TV advertising involves complicated steps. Producing it involves hiring an advertising agency, video editors, actors and writers, so an advertising agency need to think over the high expense of making TV advertising. Diets and recipes are offered as well as discussions about school, jobs and alcohol.

Driving Rules Network

Getting ready to drive a car is usually on the minds of teens. Driving Rules Network is a good place to start. It is part of the Online Study Guide for Student Drivers, which is an interactive site with practice questions and quizzes. So, if you’re in a situation where you’re stuck inside, bring the feeling of camping indoors. You can do this by setting up a real tent. You can also make traditional camping food inside to really feel like you’re out in the wilderness!
