Library of Alexandria

The Alexandria Library in Alexandria, Egypt, was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. The library, destroyed in 415 AD and rebuilt in 2002, is not only a library, but also a museum and scientific research institution (机构). It is known as the Egyptian cultural center and a lighthouse of thought, culture and science.

National Library of Indonesia

The Indonesian National Library, located in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, has the most complete collection of publications in the country, recording the history, culture and information of Indonesia in various times. Manuscripts (手稿) written on leaves, bamboos and Indonesian native paper are some of the rare (罕有的) items kept in the collection.

Vasconcelos Library

Vasconcelos Library is located in the downtown area of Mexico city. It was designed by the famous Mexican architect Alberto Kalach, and named after Jose Vasconcelos, the philosopher and former president of the National Library of Mexico. It was completed in May 2006 and opened to the public.

Mazarin Library

Mazarin Library is located within the Institute of France, on the left bank of Seine in Paris. Created in the 17th century, it has one of the richest collections of rare books and manuscripts in modern France, and is the oldest public library in the country.

Chicago Food Planet

The three-hour tour centers on the West Loop neighborhood’s amazing food scene and the history and culture of the area. Ticket prices cost $65 for adults and $50 for children ages 12 and younger. Tours are offered Thursday through Sunday at 1 p. m.

Absolutely Chicago Segway Tour

The 8-mile journey on easy-to-ride, two-wheeled, battery-powered vehicles lasts about 21 hours. It has many of the city’s most popular attractions, including Millennium Park, Grant Park, Monroe Harbor, the Field Museum. Tickets cost at least $76, depending on date and time. This tour combines bicycling, food and beer. The four-hour, 13-mile ride is from Gold Coast to Lincoln Park neighborhoods with stops for pizza, beer, cupcakes and hot dogs. Tickets for adults, which include the bike rental as well as food and drinks, cost $86.99 for weekday rides (weekend rides are slightly more expensive). Participants must be at least 21 years old.

Chicago Pizza Tour

On this 31-hour tour, you’ll visit four independently run neighborhood pizzerias and taste six or more pieces. Many reviewers insist that the tour is about more than just pizza and covers Chicago history, architecture and culture. Tickets cost $60 for adults and $36 for children.

10 . Cheney School is a popular, high performing school located in the heart of Oxford serving a diverse community of students who are eager to learn. The school is looking to add to its bank of exam invigilators (监考人), who will be employed on a casual basis to watch over students taking both mock(模拟) and actual GCSE / GCE exams, as necessary throughout the school year.

Full training will be provided and staff will be contacted before the exam period to discuss the invigilation schedule in relation to their own availability.
