Located in the Nujiang River Valley at an altitude of 1,000 metres, the Xinzhai village has an annual average temperature of 25 degree centigrade and slightly acid soil, which make it     1     ideal place for growing high-quality coffee plants. As one of the     2     (early) places to produce coffee plants in China, the Xinzhai village began to plant coffee trees in 1952,     3     the Chinese people were not used to drinking coffee. Consequently, the villagers ended up     4     (grow) rice and corn instead.
