On May 8th, students in No.2 middle school did plenty of interested things to celebrate Mother’s Day. At the beginning of the activity, they organize a competition in which the one who made most meaningful gifts would win.
Apart from it, students wrote letters to express thank to their parents, but someone is too shy to do so. When hear “I love you”, parents looked at their children mildly. They are deep moved, most of them were with tears in their eyes.
This wonderful activity gives them the great opportunity to care about out parents. And it is a good change to do something in return of love of parents. Most of the students enjoy taking part it.
Ted, a British boy, along with his parents was invite to visit a Chinese calligraphy exhibition in London on last Saturday. They were exciting to have such a good chance to have a close look at the traditional Chinese culture. On the show they enjoyed various fine work with great admiration. To their joy, they saw some Chinese artists giving live performances with brush pens. Ted couldn’t help approach an elderly Chinese artist, which was writing attentively with a big brush pen. Ted watched with great interest but asked the artist to show her how to use the brush pen. The artist agreed and gave him some instruction patient. Then Ted couldn’t wait to have a try. He admit he was deeply attracted by the Chinese calligraphy.

The Duanwu Festival fell on June 18 this year. The Festival, established in the memory of Qu Yuan, was also called the Dragon Boat Festival. Qu Yuan, who died in the Miluo River, was considering a good man. Shortly after she died, the local people threw food into the water to keep the fish eating Qu Yuan's body. They also sat on long and narrow paddle boats, knowing as dragon boats, making sound to scaring away the fish.
Transitionally, people celebrate the festival in different way. Traditionally celebrations of the Dragon Boat Festival include eating zongzi, drinking wine, or racing dragon boats.

How is everything going? I would like to express my thanks with your kindness during my stay in London last week. Know that you take a great fancy to Chinese culture, especial the Spring Festival, I would love to introduce it to you. The Spring Festival, one of the most important festival in China, falls on January 1 in the lunar calendar. It has a long history, that was originally celebrated to drive away a monster “Nian”. Different that in the past, it is now given new meanings. On the New Year’s Eve, each family have its members gather together. They tell each other their lives in the past year, exchange gifts and to eat delicious meals in the warm of the family. I hope you will come here and experienced this wonderful festival.

My name is Li Hua, aged 18, a male Chinese student. I love west culture and I’m crazy about sang English songs.
Giving the opportunity to join your summer camp, I’d like to visit some big cities, tour the countryside and even stay with an American family to full experience the cultural customs in the US. In addition to, it would be a great pleasure to talk with some local students and campers about the cultural and educational differences in different country.
In order to make my trip more meaningful, I planned to teach foreign students some simple speaking Chinese.
Hopefully, my oral English will be improved a lot on the trip, and later I can keep contact with my newly-making friends through the Internet.
