1    (春节对于中国人来说绝非凡事。) Everyone celebrates it every year. During Weifang and her husband Tom’s journey back home last year, they chatted excitedly with each other, their minds full of thoughts about their sweet home. On their arrival, they found their parents were eagerly waiting for them.     2     (全家人聚在一起，开心得不能再开心了。)On the New Year’s Eve, they had a big diner together happily and then gathered around the television watching the Spring Festival Gala. Despite the cold outside, their happy faces filled the air with warmth while merry laughter rang throughout the house.

The next day saw a magnificent show of dragon boat racing. The beautifully coloured dragon boats sat alongside each other on the still water with team members ready, oars in hand.     3     (越聚越多的人海兴奋地在湖边等待着观看比赛。) There was a sense of tension and excitement in the air. When the starting gun went off, the boats sped away across the river like an arrow. The loud energetic beats of drums were ringing in ears.     4     (每个人都被热情拥抱着，体验着传统节日带来的愉悦精神。)
