7 . These large hairy creatures have been sighted around the world, and they appear frequently in ancient folklore. Here are some of the best places you should visit as you search for Yeti and Bigfoot.
Willow Creek, California
Called the gateway to Bigfoot Country, Willow Creek is the site of the most famous Bigfoot footage—the classic photo of the dark, hairy creature traveling across the actual Willow Creek in Six Rivers National Forest. A museum in the town houses a series of casts of Bigfeet's footprints, photos, and other information and evidence about the being.
Ontario, Canada
A hunter and his wife thought it was a moose (麋鹿) call when they heard a long loud shout in the northwestern Ontario wilderness, but then they heard it again and found some big humanoid footprints. BFRO has 68 Bigfoot reports from Ontario, the most recent of which was in July 2020 when campers reported hearing howls and cracking branches near their campsite.
Michigan's Upper Peninsula
There have been hundreds of sightings of Bigfoot in the Upper Peninsula, and some witnesses claim to have seen entire packs of the ape-like creatures. The Upper Peninsula is heavily wooded and offers many areas for the monsters to hide.
Fouke, Arkansas
The small town in southwest Arkansas is known as the Bigfoot Capital of the midwestern state. A reported Bigfoot attack in Fouke even inspired a 1970s film called The Legend of Boggy Creek. 9 . What do you think of when you hear the word Australia? Kangaroos and beaches? We’ve rounded up some top Aussie travel bloggers who have given us their trips about the best places to visit in Australia.
Blue Mountains
If you’re looking for a dose of nature, the Blue Mountains are for you. Make sure you have time to visit Wentworth Falls. This spot offers walks of varying difficulty with appealing views of the waterfall, and it’s just a short drive from the main event—The Three sisters. These famous rock formations are the highlight of this picturesque (如画的) postcard area. If you head to Echo Point, don’t miss the Science Railway—the steepest passenger railway in the world.
Sydney
Sydney is filled with beautiful beaches, fun activities and good food. One of the best ways to view the beauty of Sydney is by taking a relaxing walk. An amazing beach walk, and one of the best, is from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach. It offers extremely pleasant views of the area’s famous rocky beach, thin beach and sandy beach.
Byron Bay
Byron is one of Australia’s top tourist destinations. From countless waterfalls and swimming holes to mountains and bushwalks, this small region hides so much beauty. I would suggest starting with a hike to the bottom of Minyon Falls for a swim, a hike to the top of Mt Warning for a sunrise, and then a hike to the Natural Arch. These are just some of the most accessible, but there is so much more if you’re willing to explore.
Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast has become one of the most beautiful strips of coastland in Australia, long white beaches lined with health-conscious cafés and boutique clothes shops (精品服装店). When you aren’t absorbing the sunshine on one of the many beaches, you can head out to the hinterland (内陆地区) for a day of mountain hiking or discover the swimming holes and waterfalls with not a soul in sight.

10 . Amazing Train Journeys
The Beijing to Lhasa Express, China
Departs daily; Distance—2,330 miles; Duration—40 hours
Linking the royal wonders of Beijing with the dreamlike palaces of Lhasa, the Z21 train travels from the modernity of urban China to a once-remote land. Running westward, the train climbs nearly 16,400 ft (5,000 m) on its journey to the roof of the world: the Tibetan Plateau.
London to Fort William on the Caledonian Sleeper, UK
Departs daily; Distance—509 miles; Duration—13 hours 30 minutes
This overnight train journey is filled with the romance of rail travel. It’s just a pity that the whole experience—from dining-car chatting and light beer, to being carried into a la-la land by the rhythm of the rails and waking to bedside views of towering peaks—feels like it’s over in a flash. Though it may be short, the Caledonian is surely Britain’s best train ride.
Tazara Railway, Tanzania and Zambia
Departs twice a week; Distance—1,160 miles; Duration—46 hours
Few trains offer the chance of spotting big game from your seat, but the Tazara Railway does exactly that. For many, the highlight is neither the scenery nor the wildlife, though; it’s the chance to spend two days watching everyday life out of the window, and enjoying the crowds and chaos when the train pulls to a stop.
Perurail’s Lake Titicaca Railway, Peru
Departs twice a week; Distance—241 miles; Duration—10 hours
Traveling across the Altiplano, from the shores of Lake Titicaca to the beating heart of the Inca capital, the railway from Puno to Cuzco cuts a picturesque path through the snow-dusted peaks and fantastic valleys of the Andes. Passengers can enjoy the landscape from an open-air observatory car, as they travel through remote towns and villages.
