Camping on the edge of an extinct wolcano crater is pretty excited when it comes to wild adventures. Not only are the sunsets and sunrises unbelievably beautiful at Tanzania’s Ngor-ongoro Crater, but visitors can spot a huge variety of wildlife: hippo, elephants, buffalo, zebra, leopard… There’s no fencing at the Simba Campsite, so there may be a visitor or two during the night.

4 . “Hey, Anna, do you want to play cards with us?” It was three o'clock in the morning. We were all tired but excited about the upcoming three-week trip to Europe without our parents. I was sitting on the ground with Savannah, a girl I met during the meetings we had when preparing for our trip. We were playing cards after Anna decided to join us.

There were 49 of us in me San Jose group, and we would meet up with two other groups in Los Angeles. Totally, we had 147 students and six leaders. The trip was tiring, busy but fun. We learned about different cultures, ate different foods, and met new people. We went to a total of seven different countries in Europe like England, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. We also had host families (寄宿家庭) in Germany where we spent three days. My host family was the most welcoming, and I also related to them well.

We had a great time in Europe and did not know that it was all coming to an end. We learned a lot about its history, like Henry the Eighth and all his six wives. This life-changing trip helped me open my eyes. It was a big lift for me as my wings had been broken over the years because my family situation was not good. My mom said this People to People Student Ambassador Program really changed me as a person, a sister, and as a daughter. I greatly appreciated the trip, because it helped change and add more colors to my life.

Mount Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia 

Named after the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, this park gives you breathtaking views of mountain landscapes along with lakes, waterfalls, canyons, and caves. The Berg Lake campground is located right at the northern base of the 3, 954-meter peak (山巅), which is about a day's hike in.

Fundy National Park, New Brunswick 

If you've grown tired of the tent or RV, this park is one of the few national parks offering yurt (蒙古包) rentals. Make sure you visit the Bay of Fundy where the world's highest tides make for some great surfing. You also can't miss the amazing Acadian forest waterfall. If you're looking for even more entertainment, the park also hosts music and cultural festivals each summer and has its own golf course. 

Kluane National Park and Reserve, Yukon

From May to September, the Kathleen Lake campground sees visitors come from far and wide to camp, hike and fish. Mountaineering is especially popular as Kluane is home to 17 of Canada's 20 highest peaks. Flightseeing over the park's glaciers and rafting (漂流) the winding Alsek River will also keep you out enjoying the wilderness. 

Prince Edward Island National Park, Prince Edward Island

If you're looking for a family-friendly park, this one is wonderful. Between the seven beaches and more than 50 kilometers of hiking and cycling trails, you'll certainly be kept busy. Literature lovers, you can see what inspired L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables at the nearby Green Gables Heritage Place and even explore the original house.

Maui , Hawaii

Maui is a volcanic island. If you love snorkelling, you must see the rainbow of coral and tropical fishes. Stay the day in the park and witness its wonderful sunsets. The island consists of a few micro-climates and weather varies drastically depending on where you are. The tropical weather can even vary day-to-day with extremes such as sunshine and thunderstorms, so pack accordingly.

Corsica t France

This small island, also called the “isle of beauty”, displays astonishing natural landscapes. Shocking cliffs drop sharply down to clear waters which elsewhere are fringed（带边饰的）with sandy beaches. Plan at least a week in Corsica to discover its secrets!

Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Bora Bora is popular with tourists for its luxurious resorts（度假胜地）. One of the best hotels is the five star Four Seasons hotel. Surrounded by beaches of white sand and blue water protected by a coral reef, it is a really nice place to snorkel and dive. The most impressive sight of the island is in the center of Mount Otemanu where there is a sleeping volcano.

Life moves at a slower pace on Saint John Island. The National Park covers more than half of the island. With countless bird, dolphin and turtle species to spot, it's no surprise that this is a destination that draws nature lovers. Peace and quietness are abundant, making this an island where relaxation is always on the agenda（议题）.

8 . Charles Bridge is a 14th century stone bridge linking the two sides of Prague. This grand bridge is one of the city's finest attractions, and is the main route connecting the Old Town with the Lesser Town and Prague Castle.

From Charles Bridge visitors enjoy fairy­tale views of the Prague skyline. The wide river, with beautiful buildings on both sides, flows below it. Prague Castle towers above not far away.Here you are truly in the centre of the city.

Charles Bridge is full of people during the day.Street artists paint and musicians play here and there.If you are travelling there, look out for the jazz band, which is especially entertaining. But for a truly romantic and less crowded walk, try the early morning or any time in the evening.There are not so many people in the early morning or in the evening.That way you can take a relaxing walk.

King Charles Ⅳ arranged to build the bridge.The foundation stone was laid in 1357. Charles Ⅳ's favourite architect and builder, Peter Parler, watched over most of the work.The first idea was to build a bridge for knight tournaments, and for many years the only decoration on the bridge was a simple cross. Later, the Catholic desire for beautiful designs resulted in 30 statues being erected between 1600 and 1800.

There are now 75 statues on Charles Bridge, but most are copies, as floods and other natural disasters over the centuries damaged the original ones. Perhaps the most interesting, as well as the oldest, is that of John of Nepomuk. It is the 8th from the right as you cross towards Prague Castle.

The entrance to Charles Bridge is marked at both ends by towers: the Old Town Bridge Tower and the Mala Strana Bridge Tower.

9 . Camping is fun and exciting. A well organized camping-trip can make us happy and relaxed from busy work and study.     1     Here are several tips for you to make a good preparation.

    2    If it is just you or your family, the next step is not quite as important. However, if you are taking a group of teenagers or friends, read the next step carefully.

Make sure you get insurance information and health information before you do anything else. If someone is injured on the trip, the insurance information will make a huge difference in the care they receive.     3    For example, you cannot pack peanut butter if your friend is allergic(过敏的) to peanuts. If someone who is coming needs routine medicine, make sure they have it.

Pack an appropriate amount of food. Prepare enough for three meals and an optional snack per day. Try not to pack too many such perishable(易变质的)food items as cheese, chicken, and milk.    4     Also, remember to pack lots of water.

Gather all of the other things on the “Things You’ll Need” list and try to pack them in a small, lightweight bag. You can put smaller items in a backpack and the larger items like your sleeping bag can be carried in a garbage bag.     5
