1. Dinosaurs Alive at Cedar Point
Sandusky, OH
See the “age of dinosaurs” come to life with interactive exhibits based on real fossil evidence. At the Dinosaurs Alive section of Cedar Point park, visitors can walk among more than 50 life-sized dinosaurs which move and roar. See these gigantic lizards (蜥蜴) up close and learn more about the most fearsome period of the earth’s history.
2. The Chicago Children’s Museum
Chicago, IL
The Chicago Children’s Museum is filled with plenty of activities for kids of all ages, but one of the coolest has to be the Dinosaur Exhibition. At this exhibit, children can spend time digging for dinosaur bones at an excavation (挖掘) site, looking at dinosaur fossils, and learning what life is like for real archaeologists (考古学家).

Pittsburgh, PA
In addition to plenty of exhibits about wildlife, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History has one of the finest dinosaur fossil collections in the world. Visitors can see experts work with real dinosaur fossils in the PaleoLab. Make sure to snap a photo in front of Dippy, the scarf-loving dinosaur guarding the front of the museum!

2 . Qatar, a tiny Middle East country, almost entirely surrounded by the turquoise warm waters, offers plenty of beaches to enjoy a refreshing dip. From family-friendly sands to an emerging kitesurfing destination, get ready to dive in.
Katara Beach
If you want to swim in the ocean but don’t want to adventure beyond the capital of Doha, Katara Beach is the place to go. It is a pleasant sandy stretch with lounge chairs, shaded areas ideal for sheltering kids from the hot sun, water sports ground and a wide children’s play area. With food vans and restaurants just steps from the sand, you don’t need to go far to find lunch.
Fuwairit Beach
The soft white sands of Fuwairit Beach on Qatar’s northeast coast, about an hour’s drive north of Doha, are surrounded by shallow, crystal-blue waters appropriate for diving. The kitesurfing season runs from January to June, and with a kitesurfing resort due to open in late 2022 on this undeveloped beach, it’ll be easier than ever to arrange relevant lessons and transport.
AI Shamal Beach
For constant views of the sun setting over the ocean, head to Qatar’s north coast. The super shallow and rocky beaches up here aren’t the best for swimming, but when the sun goes down, AI Shamal Beach is a fine spot to take in the scenery. You’ll find public bathrooms and seats along the Corniche. Several simple dining options can be found in the neighboring villages.
Simaisma Beach
North of Doha, Simaisma Beach is Qatar’s most developed public beach after Katara Beach, with plenty of family-friendly facilities. With calm, shallow waters and mangroves to explore at the northern end of the beach, it’s great for kids, but the soft, muddy sand may be imperfect for building sandcastles.

7 . Like most people, I was not sure about using virtual reality (VR) (虚拟现实) for travel. However, driven by the chance to experience places and things I could never visit without time, money, and travel, I visited the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) to check out their spacewalk VR Transporter. The visit turned out to be the most unforgettable experience that I’d ever had. After an hour or so, I took off the VR headset (眼罩), feeling as if I had actually been staying in space for months.
As we move through the post-COVID era (后疫情时代), international travel and large events have both been slow to return, so Ceek, an APP for virtual events and experiences, has been developed to allow users to travel through time and space with great joy. Mary Spio, Ceek CEO, explains that the combination of sights and sounds is important. “So our users can listen and see everything at the same time.”
The promise of VR is that it helps us rethink what travel even means. “Traveling can be crossing cultures, crossing memories, and can be done in your mind,” says David Askaryan, CEO of the Museum of Future Experiences. He says MOFE’s VR technology create “an experience where the world around you just completely changes for 70 minutes.”
In the post-COVID era, with our vacation days or travel money running short, virtual reality may be the next best way to visit the destinations that have been lighting up our social timeline, or are on our list. As for me, I’m already planning my next VR trip: an underwater VR experience.

C.It will be more expensive. | D.It will take days to finish. |

Last year we went on an European culture tour. I, together with my friends, were looking forward to visiting the University of Greenwich. So we reached the River Thames on the first day. To our joys, we met with a couple of old professors who had been traveling around Britain a few days. We felt so excited which we couldn’t help sharing our travel experiences with them. We visited France and Italy with them and we also had a wonderfully picnic together. As we were expected, they planned to leaving first. We offered to help carry their packs to the airport and saw him off. They were grateful to us. What meaningful and impressive the trip was!
9 . Wildlife of Madagascar
Put yourself in Madagascar’s rich and unique ecosystems, seeing animals including these not found in the wild anywhere else in the world.
Day 1: Arrive into Antananarivo
On arrival, drive to the Relais des Plateaux Hotel and enjoy an evening meal. The name Antananarivo means “City of the Thousand”, referring to the 1,000 Merina tribe soldiers used by a king as protection of his city. More familiarly, it is known as Tana. Split into two parts (upper and lower towns), it is full of colourful markets, ancient stone steps and historical sites.
Day 2: Antananarivo: Andasibe
Head for Andasibe National Park. This 4-hour journey is an adventure, with the drive taking in huge mountain highlands and traditional Merina villages, with rice fields stretching away into the distance.

Head out early for a tour of Montadia National Park, mainly covered by towering primary forest, which is sadly becoming less and less in Madagascar. Ranging in altitude from 800 to 1,260 metres, the park has a great variety of species and some good paths with beautiful views across the forest.
Day 4: Mantadia to Kirindy
Drive to the airport for a flight to Morondava, followed by a road trip to Kirindy via a stop at the iconic Avenue of Baobabs, where ancient baobabs (a kind of tree) line either side of the road. Check into Relais du Kirindy, and take a night walk in search of night-time wildlife.
