The global tourism industry is developing     1     (quick). In 2017, it contributed eight trillion dollars to the economy, and accounted for 10 percent of employment worldwide.

Tourism is increasing in most areas of the world,     9     one remarkable exception. Travel bans on people from Muslim countries, more visa checks and a     10     (strong) dollar have made the United States less popular with international visitors.
