5 . Four Truly Unique Canadian Camping Experiences

Mount Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia 

Named after the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, this park gives you breathtaking views of mountain landscapes along with lakes, waterfalls, canyons, and caves. The Berg Lake campground is located right at the northern base of the 3, 954-meter peak (山巅), which is about a day's hike in.

Fundy National Park, New Brunswick 

If you've grown tired of the tent or RV, this park is one of the few national parks offering yurt (蒙古包) rentals. Make sure you visit the Bay of Fundy where the world's highest tides make for some great surfing. You also can't miss the amazing Acadian forest waterfall. If you're looking for even more entertainment, the park also hosts music and cultural festivals each summer and has its own golf course. 

Kluane National Park and Reserve, Yukon

From May to September, the Kathleen Lake campground sees visitors come from far and wide to camp, hike and fish. Mountaineering is especially popular as Kluane is home to 17 of Canada's 20 highest peaks. Flightseeing over the park's glaciers and rafting (漂流) the winding Alsek River will also keep you out enjoying the wilderness. 

Prince Edward Island National Park, Prince Edward Island

If you're looking for a family-friendly park, this one is wonderful. Between the seven beaches and more than 50 kilometers of hiking and cycling trails, you'll certainly be kept busy. Literature lovers, you can see what inspired L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables at the nearby Green Gables Heritage Place and even explore the original house.

6 . Breathtaking cities and towns on the cliffs

Castellfollit De La Roca, Spain

This Spanish town of about l, 000 people is in Catalonia. Castellfollit De La Roca is built on the cliffs. The old town dates back to the Middle Ages and, when you visit, you can wander through its streets and see the restored 11th-century Sant Salvador church. The best views of the town are likely from a hot air balloon where you can admire the whole region's unique volcanic landscape.

Manarola, Cinque Terre, Italy

The Mediterranean Sea has several cliffside towns and the villages of Italy's Cinque Terre are perhaps its most famous. The Cinque Terre comprises five seaside villages linked by cliffside hiking trails and by a train, on Italy's Ligurian coast. The Cinque Terre, its colourful buildings, and grape- and olive-strewn cliffs were made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Santorini, Greece

Santorini is known for its white and blue architecture high above the sea. The island is an active volcano, though its last eruption was 3,600 years ago. Santorini's main town is called Firά and it sits on the edge of the volcano's crater, which is covered by the sea. You can walk from Firά to the next-door towns to admire the island's particularly beautiful sunsets from each of its cliffside towns.

Lima, Peru

The new world has cliffside cities too, including modern ones. Peru's Lima sits on the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean. While most of this city of almost 11 million stretches far from the cliffs, the Miraflores neighbourhood is a prime place for tourists to admire the views from the cliffs. Down below in the Pacific are surfers and soaring above the cliffs are colourful paragliders.

Chiswick Gardens

Chiswick Gardens arguably inspired England’s most influential cultural export, second perhaps to the Beatles. In the 1720s, architect and designer William Kent experimented at Chiswick, inventing what became known as the English landscape garden. He made the garden less formal, introducing a far more natural feel – sweeping grassland and lakes, classical temples and monuments. The style soon became the model for public parks across the globe. And it all started here.

Osterley Park

The essential dignity of this old country estate does not seem to be affected by the modern world. The stillness of its lake is occasionally broken by a line of passing swans. A cycle-friendly trail circles the park, perfect for children (bike hire available) – and if you don’t mind paying, the beautiful gardens are a must.

Richmond Park

Deer have been wandering around this rare grassland habitat since at least 1637, when Charles I enclosed it. It’s London’s largest nature reserve. Away from the roads and cycle tracks, few places in London feel so open and wild. The landscape isn’t all left to the deer: the Isabella Plantation is a sizeable woodland garden full of flowers that look their best in mid-spring.

Victoria Park

Regular winner of the nation’s most popular park awards, this park continues to attract new generations to its enormous band of devoted fans. The park is simply amazing for young people. A playground features the best slides in town and a host of other original swinging and climbing equipment. Meanwhile, older kids get top-grade music festivals, a mouth-watering Sunday market and an excellent cafe in each of its two parts. And that’s without mentioning the lakes, gardens and everything else!

8 . Leamington Spa has been named the happiest place to live in Great Britain: in a study, he asked over 17,000 people across 159 areas of the country how happy they are where they live. Leamington Spa was said by locals to be a friendly place with a strong sense of belonging. There residents feel they can be themselves.

“LESS CROWDED BATH”

Samantha Holton, a town center specialist, described the town “a less crowded version of Bath”. She said, “The town is popular with young professionals due to its excellent transport links and easy commute to city centres such as Coventry, Birminghan and London. And families are attracted to the town due to the range of state, private and grammar schools the town has offered.”

From bars and live music venues to comedy at The Royal Spa Centre, Leamington Spa has a variety of entertainment. There are over 200 restaurants, pubs and coffee shop a in the town centre.

Some famous ones include Coffee Architects, Restaurant 23 and The Star & Garter.

STRONG TKANSPORT LINKS

Leamington Spa offers great access to the surrounding towns, as well as direct trains to London Marylebone in 80 minutes.

Clive Thompson, a local office manager, said that strong local employment is also a major draw, Jaguar Land Rover (a car manufacturer) is continuing to expand. And Aston Martin, National Grid, Warwick University and the computer games industry have all chosen the town as a base.

“Leamington Spa continues to remain a popular place to live and it all residents would agree.” he said. “We simply see lots of buyers move to the area and stay. Having found a town which offers many cultural and leisure facilities with easy access to and from, you can see why many are proud to call Leamington Spa home.”

9 . Iceland has long been identified as having unique environments. Here you can walk and swim between tectonic (地壳构造的) plates, bath in geothermal waters, and experience the wild landscapes. Furthermore, these unique environments have attracted the space-science community to use Iceland as one of its test sites for missions travelling to Mars (火星).

DAY 1

Arrive in Reykjavik.

After check-in, you will visit the geothermal pools of the Blue Lagoon to relax after your flight, before returning to your hotel to freshen up. You will then head to the Aurora Basecamp Observatory, where you will be able to see the northern lights recreated indoors. In the evening, space expert Niamh Shaw will give the first of two talks on our attempt to establish bases on other planets.

DAY 2

After breakfast, you will set out on special vehicles towards Þingvellir National Park, a registered UNESCO world heritage (遗产) site accompanied by Niamh. Here, you will have the opportunity to do something that you can’t do anywhere else, the opportunity to swim between the tectonic plates. In the evening, you will enjoy a second talk from Niamh.

DAY 3

Today you begin your journey towards the 2020 NASA test site, where the NASA SAND_E Mars Rover is being tested. NASA scientists will be on hand to explain the project, along with updates of the current Mars missions and the most recent findings.

DAY 4

In 2019, Iceland Space Agency hosted the ISAGEVR1 Expedition to Grimsvötn Volcano on top of the Vatnajökull Glacier (冰川) to field test the MS1 Mars Analog Spacesuit designed by the NASA/Johnson space centre. We will be working together with the agency to create a unique experience for you today on the glacier.

DAY 5

In the afternoon, you will reach the bridge between the continents, spanning a gap in between the two tectonic plates, on your way to Keflavik Airport and your evening flight home.
