Tangshan started to     1     itself and get back up on its feet. With strong support from the government and the tireless     2     of the city’s people, a new Tangshan was built upon the earthquake     3    . The new city has become a home to more than seven million people, with great improvements in transportation, industry, and environment. Tangshan city has proved to China and the rest of the world that in times of     4    , people must     5     and show the wisdom to stay positive and rebuild for a brighter future.

The stores in the Chinatown offer a     1     range of souvenirs, goods, and clothing. All kinds of traditional Chinese herbal medicine can be found, too, and there are Chinese tea stores,     2     visitors can taste and buy     3     of Chinese tea.

But perhaps     4     many tourists and San Franciscans treasure most about Chinatown is its food. There is Chinese food to     5     everyone’s taste, with traditional dishes from all over China.

Chinatowns are     6     important part of the diverse culture of the USA. They allow visitors who have never been to China to experience traditional Chinese culture first hand.

Which theme park would you like to visit? There are     1     kinds of theme parks.     2     and whatever you like, there is a theme park for you! ... With all these     3    , no wonder tourism is increasing wherever there is a Disneyland.

Today was my first day back in San Francisco after camping in the Redwood Forest and    1     the wine country of the Napa Valley. I have to    2     that is definitely feels good to be back in the city again. And what a city-----------a city that was able to    3     itself after the earthquake that    4     in 1906. There are so many beautiful buildings--- many sitting on Top of the big hills,     5    great view of the city, the ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge.

My hotel is near    6     ,in the Mission District, one of the oldest parts of the city. Many of people living here are from Mexico and Central America. This    7     used to be a poor area of town, but is now a    8     for art, music and food .In fact, an art movement called the Mission school started here. It’s fluent by graffiti art and    9     art. I walked around looking at the street art for a few hours. It was quite modern and lovely. Afterwards I ate some    10     Mexican Chinese noodles from a food truck. A real mix of cultures here!

After two days’ travel, the girls began to realize that Canada is quite empty. At school, they had learned that most Canadians live     1     a few hundred kilometers of the USA border, and    2     Canada’s population is only     3     over thirty million, but now they were     4     to see such an empty country. They went     5     a wheat-growing province and saw farms that     6     thousands of acres. After dinner, they were back in an     7     area, the busy port city of Thunder Bay at the top of the Great Lakes. The girls were surprised at the     8     that ocean ships can sail up the Great Lakes. Because of the Great Lakes, they learned, Canada has more    9     water than any other country in the world. In fact, it has one-third of the world’s total fresh water, and much of     10     is in the Great Lakes.
