文章大意:本文是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了和朋友一起外出旅游的注意事项。

1 . Travelling with friends can be an amazing experience where you could make lifelong memories or it could ruin your friendship.     1     Here are some rules you should follow to make sure your next trip with friends goes as smoothly as possible.

2     Sure, you and your friends probably have some similar interests, but that’s not always the case. In an effort to keep everyone happy, go over travel plans and expectations ahead of time. Have each person categorize activities or sights into “must-see”, “want to see” and “would go if we have time”. Plan accordingly and make sure everyone can see some of their top attractions.

Communicate and respect each other. Everyone has personal preferences when travelling— from getting the bed closest to the bathroom or sitting in the airplane’s window seat. But sometimes things don’t go as you like. In this case, share your requirements directly with your travel companions.     3     Have a conversation when problems arise, for communication is the key.

Don’t disappear. When travelling with a group — or even just one other person — you may want some alone time. That’s completely fine, but make sure your friends know where you are and have a way of contacting you.     4

Get off your phone. Of course, your friends will understand if you need to take a call from a family member, or in the event of a work emergency, but other than that, try to stay off your phone.     5     After all, the appeal of this type of trip is to spend time with friends. Just enjoy it!

A.Give each other some space.
B.Include at least one activity for everyone.
C.So it’s important to make sure you and your friend(s) are on the same page.
D.At the same time, listen to their concerns and be respectful of them.
E.Don’t respond to less important work contact or send messages frequently.
F.It’s especially true of travelling in foreign countries or unfamiliar places.
G.And remember that consideration and respect go a long way.

文章大意:这是一篇说明文。主要介绍了当下一种流行的旅行方式——慢旅行:它可以帮助人们真正探索地方。

5 . We all want to go somewhere — somewhere that has been on our bucket list for ages. So, when the chance arises, we tend to squeeze as many sights into the trip as we can — four cities in seven days, “must-see’s” in Tokyo, famous landmarks in Europe. It’s as if the faster we’re checking things off our list, the more we are experiencing.

However, when it comes to travel, it’s probably not quantity that counts but quality. Traveler, the South Korean reality show, can perhaps give us some idea of what travel is like at its best.

Like many travel-themed shows, Traveler features two celebrities — Ryu Jun-yeol, 33, and Lee Je-hoon, 35. But unlike other cookie-cutter (千篇一律的) travel shows, Traveler’s travelers don’t have a mission and there isn’t a competition for them to win. Instead, it focuses on “depicting the real experience of traveling by showing the processes of finding a place to stay or grabbing a taxi”, according to The Korea Times. In other words, Ryu and Lee are given total freedom to explore, for example, Cuba, the central American country, without any interference or help from a production team.

This is actually the philosophy of what’s called “slow travel” —which is currently trending among the world’s more adventurous journeyers.

Slow travel isn’t about getting somewhere as quickly as possible, but about simply being excited as you’re getting there — or not getting there at all.

You may try to wander off the main road and take a back street instead. You may ignore the guidebook’s recommendation and ask local people where they prefer to cat and hang out. And you’ll be surprised by what a place has to offer when you’re not busy rushing around and checking things off your bucket list.

“Travel is just like life,” said Ryu in the show. “There is little fun in it if everything is predictable.” It’s true that we all want to go “somewhere”. But as the travel blog Cheese Web says, “As long as you keep an open mind, you’ll see that everywhere is ‘somewhere’.”

1. What do people usually do when they have the chance to go somewhere?
A.People can’t wait to go to as many places as they can.
B.People like to travel to somewhere but they have no time.
C.People often go sightseeing without any purposes and plans.
D.People pay attention to their travel quality rather than quantity.
2. From the show, Traveler, we know that          .
A.both the travelers in the show are not famous
B.travelers in Traveler have certain assignments and competitions
C.travelers in Traveler have the freedom to explore with some interference
D.travel in the show focuses on feelings during traveling. such as being excited
3. What’s the attitude of the author towards the current travel trend among adventurous journeyers?
A.Doubtful.B.Supportive.C.Critical.D.Indifferent.
4. What can be a suitable title for the text?
A.Travel: Becoming Part of Life
B.Slow Travel: Featuring More Sightseeing
C.Quality Travel: Attracting Tourists from Abroad
D.Slow Travel: Helping People Truly Explore Places

7 . For most of my adult life, I’ve felt slightly ashamed —not of something I’ve done, but of something I haven’t. Although I’m an independent person who has been to numerous countries, I’ve never gone on an overseas holiday alone. I’ve traveled with my parents, partners, kids and other families. I’ve travelled with my pet and joined tours where I knew no one but came out with lifelong friends.

But for a while, my failure to travel alone felt like a mistake. Solo travel is celebrated. I’ve seen a thousand pieces written by adventurous women who claim to have found themselves by crossing countries alone. Traveling solo makes you capable, they say. It pushes you out of your comfort zone. Every woman should travel alone at least once in her life!

And yet, I’ve never had an urge to do it. For one thing, I need a lot of people contact. A single day without meaningful conversation can leave me feeling depressed. Proper, engaging conversation is difficult when traveling alone. Even if you’re good at chatting with strangers, it isn’t always possible. I don’t want to worry about being alone on my travels. I want support and company during my adventures. I used to see this desire to be with others as some sort of flaw, but now I see it as a valid choice.

Traveling solo builds resilience. But so does life. I am a single parent raising three children while trying to juggle a career. I make endless decisions alone and deal with crises alone. I manage loneliness and fear. I don’t need to travel alone to build resilience. I have resilience in spades, I’m sure travelling overseas would push me further out of comfort zone. But you know what else pushed me out of my comfort zone? Being single in a society that values marriage. Earning a living in a difficult industry. Dating men I’ve met on an app. My life is effortful enough. I don’t need my travels to be effortful too.

Travel is incredibly valuable, no matter what your stage of life. It teaches you how diverse the world is and how to appreciate your culture in relation to another. It stretches your mind and gives you a new viewpoint.

And you don’t need a solo journey to become an independent woman. I assure you that life will get you there in the end.

1. What does the author feel a bit ashamed of?
A.Her lack of independence.B.Her failure to travel overseas.
C.Not being adventurous enough.D.Not having travelled on her own abroad
2. Why is solo travel applauded by adventurous women?
A.It is both relaxing and empowering.B.They can better appreciate different cultures.
C.They get to know themselves better.D.It forces them to face their deepest fear.
3. What does the author mean by saying “I have resilience in spades” in paragraph 4?
A.She has had enough of resilience.
B.She doesn’t want to travel solo with spades.
C.She doesn’t need solo traveling to build character.
D.She has gone through many difficulties in life to have great resilience.
4. Which of the following can be the best title for the text?
A.Walking out of comfort zoneB.Solo travel is unnecessary
C.Life is travelling soloD.Being an independent woman

10 . Shortly after I graduated from college, I moved to a new state to start a full-time job. One day at work, I found myself wanting to go traveling. Once I’d saved up enough money, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to travel by myself for the first time in my life. So I quickly started doing research on where I’d like to go.

I had never traveled alone before, so I decided to sign up for a guided group that was going to Thailand. This gave me a sense of security (安全). It felt like a great way not only to try being alone and meeting strangers but also doing something that sounded really fun for two weeks.

The Thailand trip forced me out of so many comfort zones (舒适区) that ended up being one of the big turning points of my life. The time I spent in Thailand finding my way around airports and taxis alone, meeting a group of strangers, and doing rock climbing with them in often remote parts of the country, ended up being one of the greatest experiences of my life. Up until this point I had always been shy and very careful to avoid danger and mistakes, but this travel experience inspired me to become different. It showed me a brave, strong, and independent side of myself that went on to influence my life greatly when I returned home.

When I got back, I pretty much dedicated my life to spending as much time as possible doing activities like climbing, hiking, or backpacking especially things that I once thought I wasn’t “capable of” or was “too scared of Today, about 6 years later, I’m an outdoor empowerment coach and backpacking educator.

My trip to Thailand was just what I needed to make that change. It showed me what was possible. It changed the path of my life.
