1 . 概要写作

The journey to the moon has been the first step toward future exploration(探险) in space. The distance between the moon and the earth is very short indeed when compared with the distances between the earth and the other planets. Mars, one of the nearest planets to the earth, is millions of miles away. Travelling to the planets will be man’s next aim. Such travels will be more challenging than the trip to the moon and certainly more adventurous.

Recently, two American spaceships, Vikings 1 and 2 landed on Mars trying to discover whether there is any life on the planet. So far the signs of life on Mars has neither confirmed nor ruled out.(排除)

Russians have discovered that the surface of Venus(金星)is so hot that it is almost certain that there is no life there. Also the atmosphere of Venus is extremely dense and the pressure is nearly a hundred times greater than that of the earth’s atmosphere.

Scientists believe man may find planets which have the same conditions as those we have on the earth, but man should realize the earth will be his only home for a long time and begin to love and care about it.

Matt: Have you seen the report about artificial intelligence (AI) from the World Economic Forum (WEF) ?
Mathew: Oh,yes. It says that robots will create twice the number of jobs that they will destroy.
Matt: Anyway, it is terrible news for the old generations with low-skilled jobs.
Mathew: Exactly! But many middle-class roles are also at risk, such as financial analysis, accountants and lawyers.
Matt:Then I think there will be a huge change in the structure of workforce.
Mathew: Exactly. That’s why many managers expect a change from full-time work to flexible(灵活的) employment with a focus on productivity.
Matt: Improving productivity. Mm...,brilliant idea.
Mathew: Without doubt, all industries require their workers to reskill, especially travel and tuorism industries.

4 . Robots will create double the number of jobs that they will destroy, according to the World Economic Forum (WEF), but there will be significant shifts in the structure of America’s workforce that may impact everyone. The report says that 75 million jobs will be replaced by artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and automation. But it also suggests that 133 million new jobs may be created as organizations shift the balance between human workers and machines.
It is a widely held belief that routine, low-skilled jobs are most at risk for automation, but the report shows that many middle-class roles are also at risk. Financial analysts, accountants and lawyers could all see significant changes by 2022. But manual workers could be among the hardest hit.
Meanwhile, there could be a huge change in the structure of the workforce, with the executives surveyed by WEF expecting a shift away from full-time work to flexible employment with a focus on productivity.
All industries expect big skills gaps, stating that at least 50 percent of their workforce will require reskilling of some degree. The aviation, travel and tourism industry will have the largest demand for reskilling.

5 . 阅读下列短文,然后按要求写作

Euthanasia, also known as mercy killing or assisted suicide, refers to the practice of ending a person's life in a painless manner, often to relieve intractable suffering.

Euthanasia is illegal in China, and debate about whether to allow the practice has raged since the country's first reported mercy killing in the 1980s.

The case involved Wang Mingcheng, then aged 32, of Shaanxi province, and physician Pu Liansheng, who were convicted of the murder of Wang's mother, Xia Suwen, in1987.

Xia had been diagnosed with terminal severe liver cirrhosis and ascites. Wang pleaded with doctors that his mother be given a lethal injection.

In 1988, the National People's Congress (NPC) deputy Yan Renying called for euthanasia to be legalized in the 7th NPC.

According to a poll conducted by Shaohai Market Investigation Co Ltd in 2003, 64.8 percent of Beijing respondents believed the practice should be legal.

Chen Xingliang, a professor at the Peking University School of Law, said now is not yet the right time to legalize euthanasia in China.

"At the moment, it's hard to identify under what conditions euthanasia should be adopted," he said, adding that, once legalized, euthanasia could be abused as a means of murder.

写作要求:
1.30字左右概括上文内容
2.120字就安乐死的利弊发表看法,内容包括:
1)state different views on mercy killing; 2) your attitude and view
