In a new cartoon named Turtle Journey, Greenpeace UK, an environmental organization,     1    (highlight) ocean destruction from the perspective of a family of sea turtles.

    2     (create) the film, Greenpeace UK teamed up with Aardman Animations, as well as Oscar-winning actors and stars. The    3     (power) film follows the family of turtles as they make their way across the seafloor to their home on a coral reef. “Our ocean     4    (drive) to breaking point during the past few years but it’s a story that doesn’t get told often enough,” says Will Mccallum, head of ocean at Greenpeace UK. Ocean damage is     5     (serious) affecting sea turtles and other sea creatures, many of which    6    (face ) with extinction at present.

When I was 24, I moved to America, 11,000 kilometers away from my homeland. This was tough, especially     1     an unfamiliar environment. Working from home increased my loneliness, as I     2     social interactions. However,     3     a volunteer at a local animal shelter changed everything.

Upon     4     the shelter, I     5     to a small, grey and white cat named Luna immediately. Found abandoned and terrified of humans, Luna hid in the corner, shaking. Her lonely green eyes seemed     6     my own sense of displacement in this foreign land. My task was to slowly gain Luna’s trust and help her adjust, which felt similar to my efforts to adapt to this new place.

As days     7     weeks, Luna and I developed a bond. The process of feeding her, speaking softly, and the patience required to look after her made this little creature gradually     8     to me. Her acceptance encouraged me to     9    , make new friends, and become part of the community.

My time at the shelter provided a valuable insight into     10     in a new country. It is an inspiring experience of bridging gaps of language and culture and a journey of personal growth. From it, I realized the value of time, love, and an open heart in forming meaningful relationships. This journey aided me in finding a sense of belonging in an unfamiliar land.
