1 . The exhibit, Digital Dunhuang — Tales of Heaven and Earth, which was held at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, brought to Hong Kong more than 100 exhibits including the visual murals and other related programs that could allow visitors to learn about the art and history of the Mogao Caves in a fun way.
“Dunhuang was an international city, a place where East met West, on the old Silk Road. So the Mogao Caves, which were completed in a period of over 1,000 years, record the ways of life and beliefs of the different peoples that crossed paths there,” explained Fion Lin of Hong Kong Heritage Museum.
Visitors can now get up close and personal with these faraway treasures without having to step into the caves, thanks to the digitization project of the Dunhuang Academy, a pioneer that has made great progress in the digitization and 3D scanning of the Dunhuang treasures.
“Studies have shown that in a cave, both temperature and CO2 concentration level can rise with 15 tourists inside for ten minutes. As a result, the wall paintings are going to eventually fade. Digital technology has helped to strike a balance between sharing the treasures and protecting them,” said Lin.
However, digitization of the caves faces many challenges such as poor lighting and rough wall surfaces. On average, 40,000 pictures have to be taken to cover 300 m2. Great amount of efforts have been made to piece the pictures together. What the exhibition presented is the result of years of hard work.
During the exhibition period, a mini display on Dunhuang music culture was also being held at the Museum for public participation.

This summer holiday I went to Gansu with my friends. We were very excited because our one stop was the Mogao Caves. Attracting by the wonderful desert around the Caves, we took a lot of pictures on our arrive. Once in the Caves, the guide introduced the wall paintings to me in vivid details. We listened attentively and asked much questions and took a lot of notes.
Ride camels along the Silk Road was another exciting things during our trip. On the Camel’s back I couldn’t help wondering the ancient businessmen felt lonely along the wild Silk Road. In the end, we took a group photo and to memorize the visit.
The summer holiday is over now, but I still wanted to see more sites along the Silk Road.

5 . A conversation is a meeting of two unique minds, and every person has something of value to share. Then what are the secrets of adding value to our daily casual conversations?
It’s easy to see when someone is only excited about hearing his own voice and it makes you doubt whether he’s listening to anyone else’s thoughts. If you have something valuable say, five minutes of listening won’t change that. What the other person says may not only change your original thoughts.
Ask a few questions
Another way to add value to a conversation is to ask questions.
Offer proper suggestions
This is a step a lot of people miss.
Ask what you can do to help
There are two sides to this coin. You’ll immediately stand out in a crowd if you offer to help someone. But make sure you’re truly able to deliver on your promise. You’ll build a valuable relationship if you offer to help and follow through.

6 . Driving is one of those necessary skills that you should possess if you wish to survive as one of "the fittest" in the modern life. You can start learning to drive when you are eighteen, the legal age. Experience tells that the older you become, the harder it is to learn driving.
However, learning to drive will be the very last thing on your mind when you graduate out of a university, and will be desperate looking for a job and stressing out on how to clear your student debt. So, the best way is to start out early on your path to take driving lessons. Many of the teens in recent times decide not to drive. By this, you are really missing out on a huge part of growing up and losing out on a whole lot of benefits. The top reason for not learning driving is the relatively high costs of driving lessons. But, we are here to tell you why you should overlook the costs and rather concentrate on the advantages.
No need for public transport. Using public transport to get to any destination quickly is anything but convenient. If you know how to drive, you will never have to rely on public modes of transportation ever again. Relying on a bus or train to arrive smoothly on time rarely ever happens.
At times you aren't or can't be relying on public transportation. Those are the times you are probably relying on a friend, or your parents for a ride. Knowing how to drive yourself will make you independent and you wouldn't have to fit your plans according to other peoples’ schedules.
In the recent job world, there may be plenty of jobs out there which won't mark you as a qualified candidate because you don't know how to drive.
These are the main benefits that knowing how to drive could bring into your life. So start going to a driving school as early as possible.

7 . I got this strange idea in my eight grade: to run for the president of the student Union. It is not a surprising decision for most outgoing, popular people. But I was neither. In fact I tended to daydream, read books that were not on the required list, and sit at the far corner of the cafeteria with the only two friends I had, Denise and Janice.
However, Claire, my enemy, motivated me to sign up to run against her. Denise decided we should form a group of advisors to get me elected. We met every day, right after school, reviewing every student. We tried to figure out why our schoolmates might want to vote, in their own interests for me or(more likely) against Claire.
We created cascades, a term we learned from Denise’s sister. In other words, we looked for students who were most likely to influence a group of other students. Those are the people that one of us approached first. My narrow victory was a surprise to many including, frankly, the three of us.
That’s how I got my first taste of the power of the so-called Collective Intelligence and it turned out to be the best method of succeeding in various work.
When a group commits to supporting each other by meeting regularly and obeying the negotiated rules, remarkable things happen. We tend to bring to bring the the the best out other, as thousands have learned around the world. When individuals become tight-knit teams, we become happier and higher-performing with and for each other. It is never too late for us to start our own advising group of no more than seven members around a strong sweet spot of common interest—which will help us achieve something different and more meaningful over the years.
