Jam, whatever it is made of , is always     1     (amaze). However, a kind of jam,     2     is made of bicycles and cars, always drives people crazy. Do you know what it is? It is traffic jam.

This year’s Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Tu Youyou,     1     research led to the discovery of artemisinin. Artemisinin has become a vital part of the treatment for malaria, and    2       (think) to save 100, 000 lives a year in Africa alone.

Tu Youyou was born in Ningbo, China, on December 1930 and graduated     3     Peking University Medical School in 1955. One medical text from the fourth century suggested     6       (use) the extract from sweet wormwood to treat a fever. With    1    area of more than 397 square kilometers, Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area sits in Central China’s Hunan Province.
