Rows of small cottages with    1    (beauty) courtyards come into sight when one sets foot on Xiaopan village, Pan’an county of Zhejiang province. They were developed on local villagers’empty houses and are now used as shared homestays(家庭住宿)    2    (develop) tourism in the village.

Tourists can pick fresh vegetables in    3    communal (公共的) garden, while meals    4    (serve) from a communal kitchen. The fresh air and unique environment have drawn many tourists to Pan’an for leisure.

Since many    5    (villager) have vacant rural houses, local authorities came up    6    the idea of shared homestays to help improve tourist experiences    7    increase farmer income.

To date, 32 rural households have joined the shared homestay program,    8    offers more than 130 rooms. In addition, the village infrastructure (基础设施)    9    (improve) over the years, and parks and cultural plazas (露天广场) have been built.

“We developed the village in harmony with nature,    10    (keep) a rural appearance,” says Kong Wanhen, an official with the village.

“Teenager Therapy”, hosted by five rising    1    (senior) at Loara High School in Anaheim, California, has become a breakout hit. The show is more of a free-form    2    (discuss).

“There are episodes where we offer advice about teenage life, and there are episodes where,” said Gael Aitor. He     3    (get) the idea for “Teenager Terapy” in 2018 after    4    (hear) “Couples Therapy”, a podcast (播客) by the You Tuber Casey Neistat    5    his wife.

Building a podcast audience is no easy job,    6    (especial) since the group of high schoolers had no marketing budget (预算).    7    (attract) listeners, Mr. Aitor reused    8    old Instagram account, which had 20, 000 followers.

Within a few months of posting     9    (they) first episode, “Teenager Therapy” had over 100, 000 downloads. From there, the show kept growing. But part of the great popularity of the show is that it’s produced    10    several hosts from the same age group. “People often say, ‘I don’t know who to tell but you guys, said Mr. Aitor. “We never really scripted (写脚本) anything or planned it out.”

Joseph is a teacher in New York. He gives lessons to     1    (he) students about American history. But he was born     2     Kenya, an African country where the children lead a very different life. For example, a ten-year-old boy may spend     3    (much) time in taking care of cows than studying at school. The children also learn many     4    (skill) like how to live in the wild.

Unlike many other children, Joseph went to school. And     5    (lucky), when he was 15, he came     6    (study) in America and then became a teacher. Joseph has written     7     book called Facing the Lion. In the book, he talks about his childhood. He thinks     8     is very important for American children to learn about the cultural differences between their country     9     the others. He also thinks children should learn to be strong and full of hope. Now Joseph     10    (do) a project, hoping that it will help children face their own “lions”.
