1     Now you can visit one of Scotland’s most famous tourist attractions, Edinburgh Castle, from the comfort of your home with an incredible new 3D modeling system that allows you to get up close to this splendid landmark like never before.

Created by Historic Environment Scotland (HES), which looks after Scotland’s historic sites, the digital model is offering unique insights into the grandness of the iconic castle. Packed with information, the digital tour of the castle gives the virtual visitor the chance to explore hidden parts as well. The model was created using data collected as part of a project which aims to accurately digitally document over 300 heritage sites in Scotland.

    2       Speaking about the new model, a spokesperson said, “These digital innovations are crucial in helping to understand, conserve and tell the stories of our historic sites.”
