Last weekend, my class participated in a unforgettable picking event on a farm.

Surrounding by hills, the farm looked like a giant park, with sweet flowers, tasty fruits or singing birds. In arrival, we were warmly welcomed by some farmers. We quickly set out pick some peaches and oranges. Some fruits hung so high that we had to work together to pick it. It proved the power of teamworks. Then, an expert gives us a lecture on how to plant fruits properly. We learned a lot from the lecture.

How a significant and rewarding event it was! We couldn’t be more happier!

With the Spring Festival approached, my classmates and I decided to do something special to give our motherland a precious gift. After a heating discussion, we agreed on carrying out a flash mob singing the song “My Motherland and Me” at a local railway station.

On the earlier morning of the day,we set out for the station. After setting up the equipments, I took deep breath and began to sing. Meanwhile, my classmates sing together with me, playing the musical instruments, what got the atmosphere warmed up. Many passers-by also joined in us, waving national flags. The flash mob lit everyone’s love for their country. It was really a meaningful but unforgettable gift.

The 12th China Arts Festival will bring a series of art    1    (activity) to the Chinese economic and art center, Shanghai. From May 20 to June 2, more than 50 shows    2    (select) nationwide will be performed in nineteen major theaters in Shanghai, and a fine selection of creative cultural products will    3    (show) at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. The festival will include     4    (vary) art forms, such as opera dancing, painting-and photography.

The 2019 edition is co-organized by the ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Shanghai municipal government (市政府). Since    5    (it) beginning in 1987, the festival    6    (change) host cities in each edition, travelling to areas including Beijing, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Hubei over the past three decades.

Sales of tickets have opened online, with tickets priced from no cost     7    380 yuan, according to the organizers. To allow a much     8    (large) number of audience to access the programs, the festival will also be broadcast live online. “We will use new media to bring the shows to more ordinary people,     9    will let them know more about the modern development of Chinese arts.” said Zhu Di, head of the ministry's arts department.

This year's festival is also aimed at     10    (promote) tourism in Shanghai with arts. The local government has released a total of 40 culture-themed travel routes to guide visitors through Shanghai's well-known landmarks.

Chinese-American community groups are preparing to hold their second annual International Confucius Cultural Festival（孔子文化节）on Sept, 28 in Flushing Queens, New York City's easternmost borough.

The event serves not only    1    a spectacular ceremony to memorize the world-famous Chinese philosopher, but a chance    2    (celebrate) Chinese culture together with other local communities, said Wang Lizhi, president of America East Shandong Association( AESA). Co-sponsored by AESA, America East Shandong Chamber of Commerce and Confucius Education Foundation Inc, the festival    3    (feature) recitation of the“Di Zi Gui，”literally translated as "Standards for being a Good Pupil and Child," a book    4    (write) based on Confucius' teachings that emphasize the    5    (base) necessities for being a good person and guidelines for    6    (live)in harmony with others, as well as Chinese traditional dances, Shan-dong folk music and photo exhibitions.

The groups hosted the    7    (one) International Confucius Cultural Festival in flushing on Sept. 28 Last year to celebrate the 2,568th anniversary of the birth of Confucius (551 BC -479 BC). Confucius was    8    extraordinary educator and philosopher, and founded Confucianism.
