With a helmet, a small camera and a climbing stick, Cheng Yongmao, his work is repairing the Great Wall, is headed for the Jiankou section of the Great Wall early in the morning. It is one of the most dangerous parts of the Great Wall. To less the transportation burden, animals are used to carry bricks all the way to the foot of the mountain, and manual workers then shoulder bricks to the repair sites. Before arriving at the repair sites, they are often worn out.
The size of the Great Wall bricks is different from those of ordinary bricks. Cheng firmly disagrees with the idea to replace the ancient bricks with similar ones to cut cost. For Cheng, even after hundreds of years, the materials, crafts or practices are used in ancient buildings still need to be followed.
Cheng still insists climbing the Great Wall at most once a week to provide technical guidance for repair workers. He hopes he can contribute more to cultural relics protection.

On December 30，after two weeks’training，we finally began our work for volunteer guides in a museum.During the first two weeks，I learnt a lot about the story behind the artworks.In order to do good in the work，my teammates and I made fully preparations.We first worked out a careful plan.Then we practiced use proper body language to explain the artworks better.The month-long volunteer work has now come to end，from what I understand that it isn’t easy to be a good guide.Besides.I also realize that how important teamwork is.I believed that I will get lifelong benefits from the short and meaningful experience.

I was in college where my father passed away. One evening, a man visited me and after a while, he inquires about my studies. I told him I could not go to the college because I did not want to study anymore. He reminded how my father had sent me to the best college in our city. Did I want to fulfill his father’s dream or did I want to be called a failure? I wept and said I do want to do my best and I just couldn’t concentrate. He gave me all the encouragements I needed to be able to carry on. His calming, gently voice did wonders and I decided to study harder and complete my graduation early.

My sister saw a lovely cup when we are shopping the other day. She liked it at first sight. Then she bent down and picked up to look at a price on it. As she did this, lots of tea splashed on his T-shirt! I had to try hardly not to laugh at her shocking face! She was about to get out of the shop when a shop assistant came over to us. Today is Sunday. The sky is full of sunshine, so does my life. At about 9:00 a.m., I go to the bookstore with my friends. There was a lot of new books. I didn’t know what one to buy because these books were all useful to me. At 10:00, we went to cinema. The film was called Titanic but some people were waiting outside the booking office. The Dragon Boat Festival has a history of over 2,000 years. There are many tales about their origin. The most popular is that the festival is celebrated in honor of Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan was more concerned about his country but was not understanding by the rulers. Feeling desperately, he jumped into the Miluo River on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, 278 BC. Before he died, the fishermen sailed their boats to look up for his body. People throw zongzi into the water, hoping to keep fish attacking his body. That’s because people later celebrate the festival through such activity as dragon boat racing and eating zongzi on that special day.

My father took me out camping for the first time when I was seven. He wanted teach me about animals, insects and trees. My uncles all come along with bows and arrows for hunting.
One evening at sunset, we sat by the fire, have our barbecue. Just then a bird was flying over us. My uncles immediate jumped up and shot their arrows on the bird. Two years before, I traveled to Brazil and I rented for a car. Unfortunate, I had an accident and hit another car, and I needed to stay in a hospital for at least two week. I called my parents, so I did not tell them what had happened. I knew that they will be worried about myself because I was so farther away, and that my mother would not sleep if she knew. Therefore, I told them interested stories and how I was enjoying Brazil. As a result, nobody knew truth. I still think that it was the right thing to do.
