Be pleased to do anything even though it is very tiny. In fact, there’s no single thing that is not     1     (值得的) doing or you are not able to do. So     2     (live) a happy life with a light heart is the most important. Then how can you live a happy life?

2 . Mr. Johnson lived in the woods with his wife and children. He owned a farm, which looked almost abandoned.     1    (lucky), he also had a cow

Thinking about his children’s clothes, he started growing cotton too. When harvest came around, he was already selling herbs, vegetables and cotton in the market

When Jack was a small boy, he was once asked to give a speech about “A Big Challenge in My Life”. First Jack was to draft the speech, which was just a piece of cake for him because he was a good writer. After what seemed to be a hundred years, he found the audience applauding. He made     7    ! From then on, his fear of talking before an audience disappeared. I had hardly sat down on the train and opened a bar of chocolate     1     a really old man with huge bags sat down across from me. I said hello     2     him, smiling sweetly and then I suddenly thought, “Why not offer him a piece of chocolate？” So I did. He was quite     3    (surprise), but accepted and thanked me. He said that people didn’t usually do things like this for     4    (strange) and at least that was what I understood, because he was speaking a really     5     (usual) dialect.

Then he opened one of his bags and gave me     6     handful of freshly picked cherries,     7    (explain) that he had just taken them from his orchard. The cherries were really lovely, better than those in the shops, and I enjoyed them very much. It had been just an impulse (冲动) to offer him a piece of chocolate, but if I     8    (not do) so, I would never have tasted those lovely cherries,     9     I didn’t even know he had at the time. Life is about giving and taking, and it’s     10    (general) true that if you give, you will receive.
