What's your definition of     1    (great)? I think the definition is to inspire the people next to you. You grow up as a kid     2    (think)that all things are possible, if you put in the work to do it. You grow up having that fundamental belief. My father was really influential at a really critical time. I scored not a free-throw, not a     3     (luck) shot, not a breakaway layup, 2-0 points and I remember crying about it and being upset about it. My father gave me a hug and said listen     4     you score zero, score 60, I love you no matter what.

That is the most important thing that you can say to a child that     5    (total) gives me all the confidence in the world. I just went to work; I just stayed with it and kept practicing. When I came back the next summer, I was a little bit     6    (good). Open shots and not miss. We ever shoot it with speed because those kids are so much more athletic.

So how can we teach our children what it means     7    (work) hard well?   You do it through training right so when I get up in the morning. My 15- year -old daughter goes     8     me and it becomes a daddy-daughter training. Although it might not always feel like it, life is ridiculously short. It probably wouldn’t mean much or be worth much if it lasted forever.     1       it’s so short, with the limited time that you have, I recommend creating something worthwhile, and if you dare,     2       amazing. Think of your life as a major project, with a deadline. Every day, every week, month and year, you get the opportunity to     3       work on improving it piece by piece or sit back and watch it corrode        away. That’s life. At some point, you have to be improving just to stay where you are.

Experiences are acquired through our journey in life； we choose and create our beliefs, fears and opinions     1     (base) on all our experiences in life. Even though things and life are the way they are, we all have different opinions and beliefs about everything and everybody. Other people have opinions about us too. But     2     really matters is the opinion we have about     3     (we). “Leave a place better than you found it.” is a simple philosophy that I hold dear. I led 20 volunteers   to   help   clean   up   the   Great   Wall   in   April.   Tile   Great   Wall   is   one   of   the     1     (great)structures in the world. Everyone has a responsibility to protect it.

I first went to China to visit the Great Wall in 1986. Since 1990, I     2     (stay)in China with my family,     3     (spend)more than 2,700 days on the Great Wall. I have written several books on the subject, and also fronted documentaries.

When Jack was a small boy, he was once asked to give a speech about “A Big Challenge in My Life”.
