Yukon Outdoors Club

UBC Varsity Outdoor Club

Description: The UBC Varsity Outdoor Club is a social group that hikes, mountaineers, kayaks (皮划艇), rock climbs and ice climbs. For a refundable deposit, members can borrow equipment from the clubroom's gear cache (器材存放点). The UBC VOC has also constructed a few backcountry (偏僻地区) huts in the Coast Mountains.
Pender Harbor Hiking Group

Description: Now in its fourth year and boasting about 100 members, the Pender Harbour Hiking Group offers a way for members to meet like-minded individuals and get fit. Hikes are scheduled two months in advance, so get on the mailing list or check the website regularly to find a hike that’s right for you! Show up at the designated (指定的) meeting point, and get hiking. Hikes are usually one and a half to two hours long every Monday and Wednesday morning, but some full-day hikes are scheduled, depending on member interest.
Vernon Outdoors Club

Description: Boasting a membership of close to 200 people, the Vernon Outdoors Club is an active group that enjoys hiking and cycling. Since the membership is comprised of outdoor lovers in general, they are encouraged to share their activity ideas and interests. The group organizes a Tuesday Rambles event each week and also hosts multi-day trips.

6 . Audubon Summer Day Camp 2022
Campers at Bent of the River’s Audubon Summer Day Camp can explore nature in a fin and safe environment within the 700 acres of a nature sanctuary (保护区). Audubon Camp develops campers’ curiosity through outdoor exploration, which helps campers understand the natural world. These unique experiences and adventures can grow into a lifelong appreciation of the environmental situation.
Camp Activities:
Activities like hiking, stream-walking, river exploration, crafts, nature-themed games, live animal interactions, and birding are included.
Camp Staff:
The staff are selected based on their experience and skills in working with the youth in environmental education and their interest in local ecology and natural history. All staff must pass background checks and are required to hold current CPR and First Aid certifications to make the camp a safe place to experience nature.
Camp Age Groups:
Camp groups are sorted by grades. Naturalists are campers entering grades 1-4 in Fall 2022 and EcoDiscoverers are campers entering grades 5-8. Camp Hours & Length:
Most camps last one week from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Twilight Explorers week offered to EcoDiscoverers runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Camp Registration:
Registration opens on April, 2022. Camp spots will be reserved only after registration is completed and tuition is received.
Pricing:
Tuition is $300 per camper per week for registration made by May 1, 2022, and $325 per camper per week for registration made after May 1, 2022. Campers can get a 10% discount if they register as a group (at least 2).

About us
Summer Camps offer many programs that develop athletic skills, teamwork and healthy habits to kids. We create a safe and non-competitive environment for learning and making friends. Our counselors(指导老师)are required to complete much training and deal with some practical issues. Directors and head counselors are qualified in CPR (心肺复苏)and First Aid and so on.
Full-day Camp (ages 6-13)
A typical camp starts with soccer, kickball, basketball or field games. After lunch, the kids do three activities. Depending on location, there are swimming, science and nature, arts and crafts, rope courses.
Li’1 Rascals Day Camp (ages 3-5)
Preschoolers get all the fun of full-day camp in half the time. Activities include arts and crafts, sports, games and relays. Each week has different themes. All participants must be able to be taught to use a patty(便壶).
Specialty(专长)camps (ages14-16)
These specialty camps build many athletes. Our experienced staff will help your child be excellent in his or her favorite sport.

This is the first time that Kew Gardens has adopted this policy in its history.
Lambeth Country Show
This year the countryside festival won’t be going ahead in its usual home of Brockwell Park. But all your favorite aspects of the fair will be part of the virtual edition, including the highly expected Vegetable Sculpture Competition, the usual flower show competitions, and local-themed talks. Even virtual music performances will make an appearance.
Walthamstow Garden Party in the Air
The free two-day festival in E17 will be held this weekend. You can enjoy online music and dance performances. Don’t miss the most wonderful part of the weekend: East London Radio’s first-ever online show taking place during the weekend with behind-the-scenes chats with local musicians.
Columbia Road Flower Market
As the largest flower market in East London, this market is located in Bethnal Green. It opens on Sundays. Every Sunday morning the quiet street of Columbia Rood is filled with stalls selling fresh flowers and plants. Personally, it is wise to go there between 8:00 am and 10:00 am so that you can walk at your own pace and won’t be pushed by the crowds.

Grammy-nominated and internationally known storyteller, Diane Ferlatte, fondly remembers her childhood years of sitting on the passage of her grandparents' home in New Orleans, attracted by the oral stories of family generations past.
