PGL Surrey

PGL or Parents Get Lost is the big daddy of summer camps. Most popular is the seven-day multi-activity camp, a mix of dance, photography and more. It has three, four, and seven-night camps, including a first-timer week for new campers.
The Outward Bound Trust

Mill on the Brue

This outdoor activity centre is perfect for the active adventurer. Family-run for nearly 40 years, the summer camp focuses on team building and problem-solving with children encouraged to work together to build rafts, cross the river and complete the assault course (障碍场).
First Hand Experiences
Suitable for: 7-14 years; ₤439 for 6 nights, ₤220 for 3 nights
Connecting with nature by growing, cooking and sharing food is at the heart of this camp. It also offers woodland arts, countryside experience as well as lots of outdoor fun and games. Kids will water, pick and cook vegetables from the forest garden, and there are lots of new experiences like cooking sweet potatoes on the campfire.

Program
The AU Confucius Institute Chinese Language and Culture Day Camp offers a great introduction to Chinese language and culture in an exciting, fun-filled, interactive environment. The small-class format ensures that each camper gets enough individual attention. This program features:

● Cooking
● Daily supervised cafeteria-style lunch in the University Dining Hall
Faculty (教员)
Top quality instruction is provided by distinguished members of the AU Confucius Institute faculty who are experienced teachers, fluent in both English and Chinese.
Who Can Attend?
This week-long, day camp is for students aged 7-16 who wish to participate in a fun, dynamic summer experience in Chinese language and culture. For classes, students will be divided into younger and older age groups.
Schedule
Students must arrive at the Confucius Institute each day by 9:00 a.m. and must be picked up at 3:30 p.m. Morning lessons will focus on Chinese language classes, while afternoons will be filled with hands-on cultural activities. Instructors will bring students to the Powell Campus Center dining hall for a supervised, cafeteria-style lunch each day.
How to Enroll
Please finish the enrollment form and return by July 11, with your $150 payment, Office of Summer Programs, Alfred University, Saxon Drive, Alfred, NY 14802. Checks should be made payable to Alfred Chinese Language and Culture Day Camp University. Major credit cards are also accepted. (If paying by credit card, feel free to fax enrollment form to us at 607-871-2045.)
Cancellation Policy
Full refunds (退款) will be made for cancellations received by 3:30 p.m. on July 22, 2014. We can’t make refunds to students who cancel after July 22 because the amount of materials purchased, meal counts and classroom spaces are based upon the number of students expected and cannot be changed after that time.
