I have often thought it would be a     1    (bless) if each human being were stricken blind and deaf for a few days. And I have imagined what I should most like to see if I     2    (give) the use of my eyes for just three days.

On the first day, I should want to see the people     3    kindness and gentleness and companionship have made my life worth     4    (live). I should like to see the books which     5    (read) to me, and which have revealed to me the    6     (deep) channels of human life and the human spirit. In the afternoon I should take a long walk in the woods to enjoy the beauties of nature. That night, I should not be able to sleep.

On the second day, I should like to see the pageant of man’s progress and go to the museums. I should see the things I knew through touch.    7    night, I should go to the theater or the cinema.

On the third day, I should again greet the dawn and discover new delights     8    new revelations of beauty. Today, I shall spend in the workaday world and experience the business of life.

I,     9    blind lady, want to give a hint to those who see: Make full use of your senses, of which I think sight must be the most     10    (delight).

Many of you fail to seek your purpose in life. You dream and then follow it up with a list of reasons why the dream is unachievable. You fill your life     1     different     2    (excuse) and “I can’t”,     3     gradually leave your dreams     4    (break).

Many great companies came from a dream, were nurtured (培育) a garage or basement and     5    (grow) to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Why not you? Why not your dream? The only true limits you experience in life are those you create or those you allow others     6    (put) on you. If you can dream it, you can do it!

Dreaming is the easy part while     7    (act) on the dream is hard. Recognize that a dream is     8     journey. On the simplest level, it takes time, desire, and courage. But rarely is something great     9    (easy) realized. Dreaming is recognizing and believing the ability to realize     10    (they). Keep your dreams in front of you. Do not be afraid to dream. Never, forget, if you can dream it, you can do it!

When I was very young, Chinese astronaut Yang Liwei     1     (send) into Earth orbit. My mother told me Yang is a national hero. I have been     2     (increasing) interested in space travel ever since. By     3     (read) books about space science, I have learned     4     (much) about space travel such as the space station, space shuttles and moon landing. We Chinese people have the Chinese Dream. People are always fascinated by the night sky full of stars. American Dennis Tito isn’t different.     1     a boy, he began to dream that he     2     (travel) there one day. That was one of the reasons for his studies of engineering and his work for NASA. After only five years, however, he left his job in the laboratories and threw     3     (he) into the investment market.

He was so successful that he had $200 million in his account. He still kept his boyhood dream and now he had money     4     (realize) it.

At the time, the Russian space agency was facing financial problems, and that's why they made a deal with Tito. He     5     (pay) twenty million dollars for a one-week space vacation.

He underwent medical examinations     6     (follow) by training for 8 months. On April 28, 2001, Tito took off with two astronauts     7     became the first space tourist to the ISS. Tito didn’t like the name “space tourist”. He preferred the name “independent researcher” because he also per-formed some     8     (science) experiments in space.

Tito stayed in space for 7 days, during     9     he orbited the Earth 128 times. He then     10     (safe) landed in Kazakhstan.
