Everyone has many first-time experience and so do I. Now I’d like share with you the first time I tried cooking by myself. One Sunday my parents go out. I felt hungry at the noon, so I decided to cook for myself. I tried to cook some vegetables, so the pot caught fire where I put some oil into it. Lucky, my mother came back and helped me put off the fire. Although my first cooking did not success, I felt proud of myself. It was the start of try something new. Now I’ve become quite a good cook.

My mom is a best cook in our neighbourhood. All my friend love to have supper at my house because of they love my mom’s cooking. I especially love my mom’s dumplings, what have various kinds of fillings, and all of them are deliciously. When we have a neighbourhood gathering everyone insisted that my mom should do all the cooking.Though sometimes tiring, she is willing to cooking things for others. Seeing people enjoy what she cooks are her happiest time. I’ve decided to be good a cook as my mom so I’m learning how to cook now.
Today I tried cooking a simply dish myself. I like eating frying tomatoes with eggs, and I thought it must to be easy to cook. My mom told me how to preparing it. First I cut the tomatoes into pieces but put them aside. Next I broke the eggs into a bowl and beat them quickly with chopstick. After that I poured oil into a pan and turned off the stove, I waited patiently unless the oil was hot. Then I put the tomatoes and the beaten eggs into pan together. “Not that way,” my mom tried to stop us but failed. She was right. It didn’t turn out as I had wished.

I love my parents and often cook them in my spare time. I make dumplings most frequent because of three reason. First of all, dumplings are delicious and health. Secondly, I can put nearly all kinds of things into dumplings as fillings, what include different meats and vegetables. Finally, to the some degree, making dumplings are a form of art. There aren’t any set rules so it’s pleasant to trying different folding techniques to make my dumplings special. No matter what shape we make, I always make sure the dumpling is well sealing and this is absolutely the most important rule.

One day, I was cooking in the kitchen when the telephone rings. I went to answer it immediately. She was my close friend, Lisa. When we were talking on phone, the fire alarm sounded. I ran back to the kitchen only to find the room full of smoke and the beef bad burnt. I quickly turned off the gas, opening all the windows, but then went out of the house. In my surprise, two fire engine were outside my house. I was quite worry. I told the firemen that it was my careless cooking that it caused the heavy smoke.

I believe anyone can make themselves something good to eat. Cooking is a lot of easier for us than most of us think. Last Sunday my parent were away on business. I left alone, with no one to cook for me, as I had a good chance to cook myself a wonderful meal. Early in the morning I went to the market, buying some beefsteak and tomatoes and then came back. Before cooking, I put a few oil, salt and sugar on the steak and mixed it together. When the pot was hotter enough, I began to fry the steak. Then I cooked some tomato soup with the egg in it. The food tasted deliciously!

Yesterday my mother let me to help her make chocolate cookies. First we measure ingredients(配料). As soon as the butter was soft, we put them into a large bowl and mixed it with sugar. Next, she asked me to add eggs into the butter or sugar. Then it was time to adding flour. You must be careful that you don't add too many flour at one time or you'll cover everything in a white dust. Final, we added chocolate and some nuts. The mixture put on a cookie sheet with a spoon and twenty minute later, our delicious creations were ready. After taste some, I found that cookies taste the best when they are still warm.

When I am young, I dreamed of becoming chef. My dad, therefore, insisted that I was too young to learn to cook. For many year, he only allowed me to observe him cook. When I was 18, my dad finally allowed myself to start cooking at my own. Years of watching made it quite easily for me to cook dishes like Kung Pow chicken but I could even make a cake! Now I can cook almost all kinds of common dishes, make cooking like an art to express my creativity. Indeed, the whole world is looks like a kitchen to me — just cook your life according to your dreams!
