Ben Atileck stars as a police detective (警探) who is troubled by the disappearance to this daughter. He is finding out the truth about some crime when a mystery woman (Alice Braga) tells him about “hypnotics”: people who have the power to make others believe and do anything they want by using a sentence.

The Little Mermaid
This one is really fantastic, because a black actress, Halle Bailey, is playing the main character, who was white in the 1989 cartoon. The film’s director, Rob Marshall (Chicago, Mary Poppins Returns), said that she and Prince Eric, played by Jonah Hauer-King, “really teach the world about prejudice(偏见) and about breaking down walls between these two worlds.”

Fast X
When “The Fast and the Furious” (《速度与激情》)appeared in 2001, it seemed unlikely that the movie would be the opening chapter of one of the greatest success stories of modern movies. However, the action movie developed into a film series that has made Universal Pictures billions of dollars. The tenth movie in the series, “Fast X”, was released on17 May. Box office numbers certainly won’t lie.
The Eight Mountains
All of the mountains in The Eight Mountains are unpolluted and beautiful. Some of them are in the Himalayas, but most are in the Italian Alps, where Pietro (Luca Marinlli, a city boy from Turin, becomes fiends with Bruno Alessandro Borghi, the only child let in a village. This movie records their friendship through many years.
Released on 5 May in Japan, 12 May in UK and land, and 19 May in Spain and Finland.

Tiny World
If you’re a fan of the often-overlooked small species, then this series on the “ tiny heroes ” is for you. Written by Planet Earth II’s show runner Tom Hugh-Jones, Tiny World is narrated (讲述) by Paul Rudd, who played the superhero Ant-Man in the Marvel films. More than 200 species were filmed over the course of nearly a decade. The majority of filming took place in the wild. The first six episodes (集) are available now. The remaining six episodes will be released next year.

Extinction: The Facts
From the start, it’s clear that this Attenborough documentary is going to be a tough and emotional watch. The programme follows on from a 2019 UN report, which showed that a million species face extinction. Following on from presenting Climate Change The Facts last year, Sir David Attenborough’s latest hard-hitting documentary looks at the crisis of biodiversity (生物多样性) loss.
Virunga
Virunga is titled after Virunga National Park in Congo — “ one of the most biologically diverse areas on the planet ” , according to the park’s website, and home to an endangered group of mountain gorillas. This Netflix documentary not only aims to capture the wildlife in the national park, but also the dedication of teams aiming to protect it.
