Cycling is kind to the environment so it is an excellent way to take in the city. Here are 4bike-friendly cities having adopted this green mode of transport to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Montréal, Canada
Montréal has already established protected bike paths since the 1980s. BIXI is the city’s bike-sharing system with 9, 600 bikes and almost 800 stations. Cyclists can make their visit to the Tour de L’lle Montreal, a yearly bike ride where cyclists take to the streets for a day without any other vehicles being allowed on the roads.
Malmö, Sweden
Cycling in Malmö is enjoyable due to the relaxed and easy-going manner of most cyclists. The calming atmosphere makes it a great experience, even for nervous riders. A highly recommended bike route is from Ribersborg park to Limhamn Harbour, where riders can take a few good photos of the famous Oresund Bridge.
Beijing, China
In the 1970s, bicycles were the main mode of transportation for people in Beijing. However, dedicated (专用的) cycle paths for cyclists were limited. Only in May 2019, did the city launch its first specific cycle path. This achievement in cycling facility is worth a shout-out for a city with over 21 million people.
Bogota, Colombia
Bogota first introduced the concept of cycle path in 1974. The idea sees cars being banned from city roads every Sunday from 7 a.m.to 2 p.m., helping cyclists, runners and walkers exercise safely. Since then, the city has slowly but steadily expanded the program, including setting up dedicated cycle paths. As a result, Bogota now has 550km of bike paths and is the most bike-friendly city in Latin America.

4 . Getting around in Bolivia How you choose to travel in Bolivia largely depends on how much time and money you have — the more money, the less time you need to spend travelling!
Air
Lloyd Aereo Boliviano (LAB) has frequent flights between many large cities within the country. A LABPass allows you four flights between the main cities.
You can also fly AeroSur, which has a better service but higher prices. The main air terminal is La Paz El Alto airport. You can get a bus or taxi into the centre of La Paz. A taxi will cost about $6-10, but the bus is only about $0. 5.
Bus
Flotas, the long distance buses, are generally newer, in better condition, and travel the main roads. Reserve a ticket in advance, and plan to travel by night on the very long routes so that you can sleep.
Smaller buses are called buses and travel the secondary routes. The smallest buses are called micros, and they do the local routes.
If you want to travel very cheaply, you can catch a ride on a lorry (camión), but be prepared for a slow and uncomfortable trip. Some lorries have scheduled departures and will accept reservations, but you can also wait for one at police checkpoints outside some towns.
Tips! For smaller buses and lorries, dress warmly. The high altitude (海拔) means that the temperature can drop dramatically at night.
Train
The best train is the ferrobus. It is not always available, but it is fast, usually reliable, and comfortable. You can buy tickets up to a week in advance. Next, the express train, known as tren expreso. These have first- and second-class seats, and a dining car. The third option is the tren rapido (the fast train), which isn’t fast at all as it stops at every station. The fourth train is the tren mixto(the mixed train), which carries passengers and cargo. Because it is so cheap, many of the poorest travellers use this to transport themselves, their luggage and their animals.

C.highlight how convenient it is to travel in Bolivia |
D.suggest economical ways of getting around in Bolivia |

C.the micro and tren expreso | D.the lorry and ferrobus |

C.Lorries are a better choice for those who want to move about fast and cheaply. |
D.On the tren expreso, a passenger may find animals that travel with their masters. |

8 . Long before we had airplanes, people had been experimenting with different flying machines. We still use some of those flying machines today.
Hot-air balloons and gliders (滑翔机) use air currents (气流) for movement. Hot-air balloon pilots control their aircraft by going up or down into air currents that move the balloon. The pilot controls the balloon's movement by heating the air inside the balloon, or by allowing it to cool naturally.
Helicopters (直升机) first appeared during World War Ⅱ. A helicopter doesn't have wings, but, like an airplane, it has an engine that makes its blades (螺旋桨) move at high speed. This allows the helicopter to rise into the sky.
So before your next aircraft ride, remember that airplanes aren't the only way to fly.
