Our beloved dog, Poppy,    1     (茫然失措) and didn’t conduct herself as usual. Poppy frowned and grieved all day long and we were concerned about her very much.     2     (为了阻止她受到伤害), we     3     (尝试使她高兴起来). But she     4     (抗议我们的每次尝试). Finally,    5     (我建议) we get a little dog for Poppy. Seeing that she had a playmate again, Poppy smiled happily, barked gently and     6     (高兴地直摇尾巴). Her gloomy moods finally disappeared. Poppy and the little dog     7     (建立了友谊) immediately.

The hungry bear followed his nose to our camp, which was surrounded by a high wire fence. He pulled and bit the wire. Our throats tightened and our knees felt weak. Elli and I tried all the bear defense actions we knew. We yelled at the bear, hit pots hard, and fired blank shotgun shells into the air.

The measures were effective. The antelope population has     1     and in June 2015, the Tibetan antelope was     2     from the endangered species list. The government, however, does not     3     to stop the protection programmes, since the     4     to the Tibetan antelope have not yet disappeared.
