The other day, our class watch a short movie about noise pollution. The film shows us that long-term exposure noise pollution can cause 12,000 early deaths and 48,000 new case of heart disease annually in Europe alone. Never did I thought loud noises do so many damage to our health. Now, I always warn me to be considerate of the comfort of those nearby when used my electronic devices. Living a low carbon life is becoming increasing important in our modern society. It means reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases we released into the atmosphere. There are many simple steps we can take them. Firstly, we can choose eco-friendly modes of transportation such as walking, cycling, or using public transport instead driving. Secondly, saving energies in our homes is crucial. Switching off lights when they are not in use but using energy-efficient appliances (电器) make a significance impact. Lastly, consuming less meat and dairy products, that have a high carbon footprint, and opting for organic produce can make a different.
When I was a child, I hope to live in the city. I think I would be happy here. Now I am living in a city, but I miss my home in the countrysides. The air is clean or the mountains are green. World Wetlands Day, celebrating annually on 2 February, aims to increase aware and understanding of the importance of wetlands to humans and the globe. It also spreads information about what valuable wetlands are and encourages individuals and governments to take actions to prevent their loss. The day was first organized by a group of environmentalist who wanted to celebrate and protect wetlands.
Wetlands are ecosystems which water is the primary factor controlling the environment and the associated plant and animal life. Wetlands are disappearing at a rate three times fast than forests, making them the Earth’s most threatened ecosystems. Human activities, such as agriculture development, urbanization, pollution, overfishing and climate change, have contributed the loss of wetlands.
Actions needed to save the world’s wetlands from disappearing and restore those we have already lost. That’s because of wetlands provide critical habitats for a vast variety of wildlife, offering valuable opportunities for outdoor recreation, and play a crucial role in flood control.

These days, breaking traffic rules and littering is not uncommon, what causes serious harm to life and the environment. Changing this situation requires everyone effort. Learning you are interested in a waste-sorting program in China, I am writing to give for you a brief introduction. As far as I know, Shanghai had become the pioneer of waste sorting in our country. Residents in Shanghai are allowed to simply dump their waste bags in dustbin. Instead, domestic waste is required to be classifying into four categories: dry refuse, wet trash, recyclable waste or dangerous waste.
