Spring has come with all its beauty! Trees have turned green or flowers can be seeing everywhere. Last Friday, my friends and me went on a spring outing. It was such a great fun! We cycled along the streams and down the paths. It didn’t take us long to get the foot of the mountain, that we left our bikes. Then we begin hiking. As we reached the top of the mountain, we were shocking to see many plastic bottle and food bags here and there. All of us started to collect the rubbish and then took it down the mountain. On World Environment Day,aiming to raise students’ aware of protecting the environment, my classmates and I start the program "Pick Up the Pearl" in our school. At noon, we broadcasted our requirements over the loudspeaker, call on students to take steps protect the environment. Afterwards, we went to classrooms to teach about the students how to classify rubbish. Meanwhile, when we saw litter there, we put them into the rubbish bin, reminding the students to keep the classrooms cleanly. It is through this activity which we realize small things can make the big difference. We should do something for a much good world.

Our class had an meaningful and memorable experience on March 12. In the morning, we bicycled to the suburb to plant tree, talking but laughing all the way. Upon arrival, we began to work immediate. Some were digging holes. Some were carrying and planted young trees. Others were watering them. After all the work, a board put up to remind people to protect the trees. After we left, we took some photos to record their green action. Seen the lines of trees, we all had a sense of achievement. We feel it’s our duty to protect for our environment.

Qinghai Lake has seen it largest water areas since 2004 as a result of increased rainfall and improving ecological conservation. Increased rainfall was the mainly reason for the lake’s water area expansion. Enhanced ecological conservation also played the important role.
The lake has been shrinking since the 1950s due to multiple reason, such as human activities. It was the combined efforts of conservation and changes to the regional climate which turned things around.
In 2008, Qinghai launched a 10-year plan on the ecological environment protection as well comprehensive management of the Qinghai Lake basin. However, the improved ecosystem of the lake has benefited from a variety of plant and animal species.
