Thanks for your concern in your letter about the smog which frequent strikes some areas of China. I'm also very worrying about such a terrible weather. It has brought much inconvenience or rather harm to people's health such as road accident, bad coughs and even lung cancers and so on. I’d like to tell you something about the problem of pollution we are facing to. As we know, the factory beside our school gives off heavy smoke all day long. Very loudly noises hurt our ears. Rubbish and waste were thrown here or there. It also sends out pollute water and poisonous gas. All this has done great harms to the health and study of the teachers and students. more tree，there will be less haze in their city. Trees can absorb exhaust fumes (尾气) from cars，thus reduce pollution. Second，the government should punish the factories where produce too many fumes. Exhaust fumes is the main cause of haze and do greatly harm to people’s health. Maybe we can move factories to areas where few people live. Third, I think it was a great idea to encourage people to use public transportation. Last but not least, we can call on citizens ride bikes if they travel short journeys.

There used to be a factory near my house. The factory manager was blaming by the government because of the pollution had harmed people’s health. But even then, he paid not attention. Then the factory forced to stop production. The manager said angry, “Is there any fact that we had harmed people’s health yet? In fact, we haven’t.” Just then, a doctor came, with the result of a medical examine, saying the manager was suffering from cancer.
