The factory     1     I worked caught fire last winter. All of us were    2     (shock) to find we     3     (trap) in a workshop. The walls cracked and bricks    4     (fall) down frequently. The    5     (electrical) was also cut off. The thick smoke was hard     6    (breathe) . It seemed as if everything were    7     (destroy). We were about to give up     8     a good idea suddenly     9     (strike) me. I told others to wet their coats and covered their heads to protect themselves from heavy smoke and fire. We ran out of the workshop before it lay in    10     (ruin). It was my wisdom that saved our lives.
