Ever since the first mobile phones came out, they have changed our lives in many     1    .

The official said some schools had tried to ban mobile phones. Some parents felt unhappy because they couldn’t get in touch with their children.

Many teachers said students should not have mobile phones at school, but if there was a good reason, they could leave their phones at school office. They also said there were many reasons why the students should not have mobile phones at school: they were easy to lose and were a distraction from studies.

Many people say that they understand why parents would like their children to have phones, but they think schools should let the students know when they can use their mobile phones.

Years ago, if a teenager had some problems in his life, he might write them in the diary. But now a teenager may go online and write his     1     (每日的) feelings in a micro blog(博客). Diaries and micro blogs     2     (两者都) remind the writers of what happened to them     3     (在) a certain day. But what makes micro blogs different from diaries?

8 . With the widespread use of online messaging, writing letters seems an old-fashioned way of communication today. But in China, a group of people have been trying to revive this practice.

14-year-old Wei Kangcheng from Fu Lei Middle School in Shanghai has improved his relationship with his parents after writing his first letter to them as part of his school homework in March. Wei’s parents thought he was too shy and reminded him to communicate with others more often, but Wei felt he had not time with social relationships.“I expressed my feelings in the letter, hoping my parents would understand me is of pushing me to change,” he said. Wei’s parents discussed the situation with him after reading the letter.“They said they would give me space to grow up in my own way. The letter has closed the distance between us,” Wei said.

The school was named after the famous translator Fu Lei and while letters has been promoted for 10 years at the school. It holds classes in which students read from the translator’s book Fu Lei’s Family Letters. First book was published in 1981, the book includes letters Fu and his wife wrote to their eldest son, Fu Cong. Students are also taught to write to their parents, who send letters in reply.

Fu Guoqing, the school’s headmaster, said, “The classes enlighten young minds about family relationships, and help bear strong, healthy families with sincere ways of communication.”
