Arriving early or staying late should reward you with sunrise or sunset that you will never forget.

Samsung making great tablets might sound strange to someone not too familiar with their devices, but the company has made some interesting improvements with tablets. And much like their phones, Samsung has a wide variety in their products, with the very affordable Tab A7/A8, to the high-end flagship S8 Ultra. So if you’re team Android as opposed to Apple, Samsung is probably the way to go.
Best tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
Microsoft
Microsoft has traditionally been a major player in computing so it’s no shock that they also make well-designed and more than capable tablets—the Microsoft Surface. With the idea of the Surface tablets being a 2-in-1 device, a tablet that can functionally run like a laptop, running windows, and featuring basically the same processors that you’d find in a laptop.
And with an additional keyboard, great displays and long battery life, the Surface tablets make for great machines for work or play respectively.
Best tablet: Microsoft Surface Pro 8
Amazon
Amazon does indeed make tablets. In terms of size, they range from seven up to ten inches and even include a kids’ tablet for the young ones. So if you prefer tablets over ten inches, you may be wanting to look elsewhere.
But all in all, they’re a good shout for a first-time tablet buyer that isn’t looking to spend a few hundred pounds on a device, but still wants to watch videos or browse the web on the go.
Best tablet: Amazon Fire HD 10 plus

Stretching along the west coast of North America from northern California to Alaska, the forests found along the Pacific Coast Range are the largest area of temperate (温带的) rainforest in the world. The forests are home to the coast redwood, the world’s tallest tree. Across the region, the forest understory (林下叶层) is wet and heavily vegetated.
Taiheiyo Evergreen Forests
Found in southern Japan, they are temperate rainforests of evergreen broadleaf trees. The forests can receive more than 100 inches of rain every year. The forests are covered by Japanese cedar and Japanese stone oak, while moso bamboo comprise the understory. The extent of the Taiheiyo forests has been reduced due to development and agriculture. Today,17%of the remaining forest is protected by national parks and other reserves.
Atlantic Oakwood Forest
The Atlantic Oakwood Forest covers the wettest parts of the United Kingdom. A species of oak tree (橡树) called sessile oak occupies the landscape. Unlike other temperate forests, these forests tend to have an open understory of grasses. Much of the historical range of the forest has given to agriculture and other development, though that has changed in recent decades.
Valdivian Temperate Rainforest
This forest is found on the west coast of Chile and Argentina, on the wet, western slopes (斜坡) of the Andes mountain range. With the coastline to the west, the peaks of the Andes to the east, and the Atacama Desert to the north, the region supports a number of plant and animal species found nowhere else in the world. Uniquely, the forest is covered by evergreen flowering trees, which are native to Chile and little known outside the region.

Australian Shepherd
Contrary to their name, the Australian Shepherd is actually an American kind. If you are planning to keep larger animals on your homestead, having a shepherd dog to help you control them is a must. Australian Shepherds are quick, light on their feet and highly intelligent.
This rapid intelligence also makes them excellent at trick training if you ever want to branch out and teach them to do other things.
American Labrador
Their love of the outdoors combined with their happy-go-lucky personalities makes them a great match for the homestead lifestyle, which makes them suitable for the elderly at home.
Though they have a love of chasing, Labradors make a great homestead dog as they have a very low chase drive. This means they are incredibly unlikely to chase and injure your animals.
Mastiff
Though they are not as intelligent as some of other kinds on this list, having a Mastiff on your homestead can act as a deterrent (威慑作用) for others. Providing a shelter for your mastiff-type dog to stay outside with your animals will cause any stealers to think twice before entering your property.
Great Pyrenees
Great Pyrenes have a very little desire to dig, so your vegetable patches are safe.
Equally, they have little desire to chase, and so your domestic animals are safe. Their naturally protective nature means they are happy to work as guard dogs, protecting all of them from stealers.
1. What can we know about Australian Shepherds?A.They like the outdoors. |

【推荐2】Family fights are never pleasant. Whether you are dealing with a loud sister or a stubborn mom or dad, the situation can be bad. At least that’s what we have learned to expect.
What if it could be different? What if family fights and conflicts could be turned into opportunities to become closer? What if problems could be solved with everyone walking away feeling more deeply cared for and loved?
Family fighting is, on one level, about power. Someone is telling someone else what to do. In a short moment, emotions can be brought out and the fight is on. You can go down that old road or you can try something different.
In any fight, you have a need to be listened to and understood. People raise their voices and shout at each other because they’re not being listened to. It’s totally unconscious. You want your mom or dad to listen and understand. But you always seems to forget the person you’re fighting with has the same need to be listened to. So if you can put aside your need for a few minutes, the situation will change quickly. Give the other person some time to express his or her feelings, and you will earn your turn to be listened to.
And while you are listening, you have to listen for the right information. The best way to do this in emotional situations is to forget most of the words because many people can’t express what they are feeling with words alone, especially when they are upset.
But if the situation starts to get out of hand, it would be wise to just calm down and leave the problem until later because many fights happen at the wrong time. The situation will die down quickly, usually in less than 30 seconds. You can either move on to problem solving or reach an agreement to work on it at a better time.
This way, everyone will feel respected and listened to, even when there is conflict. Emotions will be understood and respected, and it will bring your family closer together.
1. From the first 3 paragraphs, we can conclude that ______.A.people had better avoid family fights. |
B.family members fight to control each other |
C.family fights can be changed into something positive |
D.when family members fight, it’s worse as they know each other’s weakness |
A.satisfy the need to be listened to first |
B.make sure that you’re the first to be listened to |
C.pay no attention to what others say in emotional situations |
D.stop quarrelling when you feel you are giving orders |
A.wait for a suitable moment to speak |
B.let the other person express their feelings |
C.work on a written agreement first |
D.move on to problem solving |
A.tell readers that family fights are not that bad |
B.teach readers how to listen in family fights |
C.remind readers to show respect in family fights |
D.give advice on dealing with family fights |
I was in a local store recently when I saw something that opened a window into my soul, which helped let in a little more light.
I had just picked up some shampoo and was headed to the pet supplies to get some dog food for my furry friends. I decided to take a shortcut through one of the toy aisles. Blocking my way, however, was a young father and his four-year-old daughter. The little girl was pleading (恳求 ) with her dad to buy her a new doll. The dad was being gentle but firm, telling her they couldn’t afford it right now. Finally, the daughter burst into tears and said angrily, “I hate you!”
I thought that the father would get mad at her for this outburst. I knew that I probably would do so when I was his age. Instead he just smiled down at her, put his hand on her head, and said, “That’s alright. You’ll love me later.” I stood there in amazement as he took her hand and they walked off. Then it dawned on me that I had been in this situation many times myself over the years but not as the father.
In my childhood, many times I grew angry with my parents when I felt my requests weren’t being answered. Through them all, though, my parents were still patient, loving, and kind to me. They knew that I didn’t understand why certain things had to happen the way they did. They knew that my anger was a part of my growing up spiritually in this world. They knew that I would love them later.
Now I have grown up and become a parent of two children. I have deeper understanding of parents’ behavior in different situations. They love their next generation, but more than that, they also know that they should love them in a proper way. Raising a healthy child means to help him grow both mentally and physically. That is why we need to trust our parents’ love and give them ours as well. It is never too late to love them. It is never too late to invite them into your soul. It is never too late to let their light guide your life.
