Zuma Beach

There are several volleyball nets available along the beaches of Zuma to get a group into a game on the sand. Surfing is allowed north of Lifeguard Tower 14. Boogie boarding (俯卧式冲浪) and wakeboarding are allowed at all locations. It’s also perfect for snorkeling (浮潜) at Zuma and you can see a few halibut (a large flat sea fish) in the water.

El Matador State Beach

El Matador State Beach is located just north of Zuma on Pacific Coast Highway just south of La Piedra and El Pescador State Beaches. Small, beautiful and featured in rocky outcrops (露出地面的岩层), El Matador looks unlike a European beach. Wear shoes and don’t bring too many things. Arriving early or staying late should reward you with sunrise or sunset that you will never forget.

Leo Carrillo State Beach

Leo Carrillo State Beach is a pretty 11/2-mile beach in North Malibu that has campgrounds nearby, as well as hiking, biking, surfing, tide pools to explore, and has a dog-friendly area of beach for four-legged companions to enjoy the surf. This is one of the rarest beaches where dogs are allowed to walk. There are signs stating that dogs are required to be on a leash (束缚) while visiting the beach instead of No Dogs Allowed signs so you can tell that you are in the right area.

Malibu Beach

The beaches of Malibu have a lot to offer. You can surf, swim and play volleyball. It is a famous location for film shooting (拍摄) and is the world-famous Rich Area of Los Angeles, where many famous Hollywood stars’ houses are located. The opening scene of Lee Min-ho’s first episode of the popular Korean drama “Heirs” was filmed at Malibu Beach.

Te Papa Tongarewa is the museum of art, science, and the natural history of New Zealand. The name translates to “our container of treasured things and people that spring from mother earth here in New Zealand”.

Te Papa is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm, except on Christmas Day. Admission is free for everyone, but charges apply to certain exhibitions and events.

During the visit, we require you to bring adults to supervise (管理) students closely as you are responsible for their safety.

Food and drinks(except bottled water)are not allowed in exhibition areas. Schools are welcome to eat lunch in the outdoor courtyard. You may also choose to buy lunches from our café and are welcome to use cafe space to eat.

Events will run on a drop-in (无需预约的) basis unless otherwise noted. Individuals and small groups do not need to register. Stretching along the west coast of North America from northern California to Alaska, the forests found along the Pacific Coast Range are the largest area of temperate (温带的) rainforest in the world. The forests are home to the coast redwood, the world’s tallest tree. Across the region, the forest understory (林下叶层) is wet and heavily vegetated.

Found in southern Japan, they are temperate rainforests of evergreen broadleaf trees. The forests can receive more than 100 inches of rain every year. The forests are covered by Japanese cedar and Japanese stone oak, while moso bamboo comprise the understory. The extent of the Taiheiyo forests has been reduced due to development and agriculture. Today,17%of the remaining forest is protected by national parks and other reserves.

The Atlantic Oakwood Forest covers the wettest parts of the United Kingdom. A species of oak tree (橡树) called sessile oak occupies the landscape. Unlike other temperate forests, these forests tend to have an open understory of grasses. Much of the historical range of the forest has given to agriculture and other development, though that has changed in recent decades.

This forest is found on the west coast of Chile and Argentina, on the wet, western slopes (斜坡) of the Andes mountain range. With the coastline to the west, the peaks of the Andes to the east, and the Atacama Desert to the north, the region supports a number of plant and animal species found nowhere else in the world. Uniquely, the forest is covered by evergreen flowering trees, which are native to Chile and little known outside the region.

American Labrador

Their love of the outdoors combined with their happy-go-lucky personalities makes them a great match for the homestead lifestyle, which makes them suitable for the elderly at home.

Though they have a love of chasing, Labradors make a great homestead dog as they have a very low chase drive. This means they are incredibly unlikely to chase and injure your animals.

Mastiff

Though they are not as intelligent as some of other kinds on this list, having a Mastiff on your homestead can act as a deterrent (威慑作用) for others. Providing a shelter for your mastiff-type dog to stay outside with your animals will cause any stealers to think twice before entering your property.

Great Pyrenees

Great Pyrenes have a very little desire to dig, so your vegetable patches are safe.

Equally, they have little desire to chase, and so your domestic animals are safe. Their naturally protective nature means they are happy to work as guard dogs, protecting all of them from stealers.
