Builders found a moth (螉) at least as big as a rat while     1     (work) at a Queensland school. The primary school,     2    has just more than 600 students, posted photos of the moth on social media.

Principal Meagan Steward said it was     3     “amazing discovery”. But the teachers and students weren’t     4     (surprise) because the school was next to a rainforest and they had seen many other     5     (thing) like this one. “We weren’t at school when the builders found the moth, but they took some photos for us,” Ms Steward said.

One of the teachers showed the students a picture of the giant moth and they used it as an    6     (inspire) in their writing. The class gathered around     7     (discuss) what could happen. Almost all students     8     (expect) a giant moth invasion (侵犯). They wrote some very creative and imaginative pieces of writing, including Mrs Wilson (their teacher) getting eaten by the moth.

According     9     Queensland Museum’s Dr Christine Lambkin, the moth is one of the world’s heaviest moth species. It is commonly found between North Queensland and southern NSW and is grey-colored. “    10     (sad), they couldn’t fly very well,” Dr Lambkin said on radio.

Even though the sale of tiger parts is illegal, some people still take     9    (risk). In 1920, scientists     10     (figure) out that there were 100,000 tigers in the wild. But today the number is in the low thousands.

When I was seven years old, my family     1     (create) an ant farm from a kit. First, we put clean sand in a thin glass box, and then we waited for the live ants     2     (arrive). Shortly after the chilly ants were dropped into the glass structure, they got to work making tunnels,     3     aroused my great curiosity. After hours of staring, I realized the ants had assigned jobs.     4     my mom's help, I kept     5     diary of what happened each day and named the ants.

One day, a tragedy struck the ant farm. The pages of the diary, still wrinkled where tear drops fell, indicate the     6     (deep) of the tragedy. I had put my face so close to the structure     7    I accidentally knocked it over, destroying all the tunnels. Although the ants survived the "earthquake", one by one they began to die. I was terrified as I watched them give up their tunnel-building to carry those     8    (body) to a corner of the farm. They were dying of "frustration". They    9    (simple) could not stand the reality that their tunnels had been destroyed.

Over the years, I came to realize that the ants were a study of teamwork. Working together, they were able to create an extremely     10     (surprise) world for themselves.
