Hi, I’m Mei Lan, one of the 208 panda living in the Chengdu Research Base. Lovely workers here always take a good care of me. Each day, I eat at least 15 kilograms of bamboo — my favorite food. I am particular about which I put in my mouth. So, although I can eat another food like apples and carrots, bamboo is something I can go without. As fewer visitors are able to play me, I am very boring. So I have started to eat more bamboo as usual. Sadly, this has lead me to gain weigh like many of my friends.

A terrible thing was happened in a zoo yesterday. A man was biting seriously by a tiger. The public felt frightened. Later word came the man tried to avoid buy tickets and went into the dangerous area in the zoo. This made the tiger angrily and it attacked him. Animals had their own nature. Once they are in threat, they will do terrible things. Therefore, visitors should behave them and obey the rules of the zoo. But still a lot of people throw food to animals, what does harm to their healths. It is our duty to protect animals.

Feeding birds is a popular way to watch wildlife during the winter months. But many bird experts say the experience is often pleasant for people than for bird. And it might even put wild birds at the risk. They put feeders in places that birds are frightened by foot traffic, risk being hurt by cats, or risk flying into windows. A solution was to put the food in more than one place by using different kind of seeds and feeders. Nyjer seeds, for example, are definite a favorite of goldfinches. Tube feeders with wire covers prevent large birds from entered. Another word of advice: Do not feed wild birds anything salt, like potato chips, or food that could choke them, like plain bread.

But for hummingbirds-which are very, very small-put water on large plant leaves to attract them.

As the Earth Day approaching, a lot of posters were put up in our school to call on us to take action for greener earth.

Seen that, my classmates and I had a short discussion and we were put forward a good idea of recycling. The next day, we bring plenty of used materials to school and tried our best to make various kinds of new things. After school, we went to the nearby neighborhood which we gave them away to the citizens. It wasn’t long after the headmaster heard of our deeds. He invited us to introduce our practical experiences at the school meeting.

We felt very proud of us because we had done something meaning for our planet.

One day, my sister Alice and I were walking in our hometown and saw hundred of rubbish on the ground. They made the town look such ugly that we decided to do something. At first, we draw pictures with words in parks, in beaches to let people know the damage to the environment. Late, we raised money to buy dustbins for our town. Many newspapers have been written about my sister and me over the past five years. As the result, we have won many prizes for that we have done. But we are not interesting in prizes. We just want make our hometown a better and cleaner place.

It is the common phenomenon nowadays there are some persons disobeying traffic rules on the road. What’s worse, many a person always litter here and there in the streets, that is of our   great concern. I have some specific ideas to share when it comes to handle these problems. I will observe traffic rules whenever I’m on my way to school. First and foremost, never will I cross a road until the traffic light turned green. Secondly, I will always use the zebra crossing. Thirdly, I will never throw rubbish and spit on the road. Equally important, it’s necessary to everyone to increase awareness of safe travel. As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work.”     Therefore,let’s join hand to obey traffic rules, which will matter a lot.
