The “Tian Le” vessel (轮船),    1    is operated by COSCO Shipping Special Transportation Co., Ltd., set sail from south China’s Guangzhou City on Monday,    2    (mark) the official opening of    3    first regular direct shipping route from Guangzhou Port in Guangdong Province to Brazil.

This sea route has become the fifth one to BRICS countries added to Guangzhou Port this year. In the future, at least eight multi-functional vessels will    4    (use) on the route, operating on a bi-weekly schedule and providing     5    (stability) bi-directional shipping services between China and South America.

CRRC, a leading manufacturer of railway vehicles globally, has officially unveiled its latest addition to the intercity smart train family — the Cinova 2.0, at    1     event held in Qingdao, China. This significant milestone marks the     2     (begin) of a new era in intercity rail travel, as the train represents a leap forward in terms of technology and passenger comfort.

The train was independently developed and manufactured by CRRC. What sets the Cinova 2.0 apart from its predecessors (前代产品) is the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and digital twins. These technologies provide intelligent solutions that enhance the safety,     3     (efficient), and promising passenger experience of the train.

The ADAS, for instance,     4     (utility) a suite of sensors and cameras to provide the driver with real-time information about the train's surroundings and operating conditions. Researchers in Japan have developed a robot capable of peeling (剥皮) a banana without breaking the fruit inside. While the two-armed machine is only     1     (success) 57 percent of the time, banana peeling points to a time     2     machines could do more skillful kinds of work. This invention may prove very useful and valuable in many fields in the future.

A video from researchers at the University of Tokyo showed the robot picked up and peeled a banana with both hands in about three minutes. It didn’t act as skillfully     3     a human and took a longer time, but it’s a creative advance forward in     4     (build) intelligent robots.

Researchers Heecheol Kim, Yoshiyuki Ohmura and Yasuo Kuniyoshi trained the robot using a “deep imitation learning” process.
