Yang Jingyu,     1     (honour) as an anti-Japanese hero by the Chinese people, was born in Henan Province in 1905. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1927. In 1937 Yang became leader of the North-east Anti-Japanese United Army and     2     (fight) a guerrilla war against the Japanese invaders.

In 1938, the Japanese army offered a large sum of money     3     Yang’s head and a large number of troops surrounded his men.
