Ever since middle school, my sister Wang Wei and I dreamed about taking a great bike trip. Two years ago she bought an expensive mountain bike but then she persuaded me to buy it. Last year, she visited our cousin, Dao Wei and Yu Hang at their college in Kunming. Wang Wei soon got them interesting in bike riding too. After graduated from college, we finally got the chance to take up a bike trip. I asked my sister, “Where are we going?” It was my sister that first had an idea to ride along the whole Mekong River from which it begins to where it ends. Now she is planning our schedule for the trip.

I like traveling and my dream of visit Beijing, the capital city of our country, come true during the National Day this year. In October 1^st, I went to Tiananmen Square with my parents, which we watched the flag-raising ceremony. As I watched flag rising slowly, I sang the National authem, feeling extremely exciting. Then we went to some other famous tourist attraction, like the Great Wall. Standing on the Great Wall, I felt very proudly. I thought of the old saying that “One who fail to reach the Great Wall is not a hero.” Although I was tired, but I really had a good time.

With the Spring Festival come, there will be a long winter holiday. However, I am not going to travel somewhere, because I don’t want to join the crowds. Instead of, I just want to stay at home and enjoyed the family time. I am so delightedly that my grandparents will come to stay with us for few days. So my parents decide to having a family hotpot and invite some relatives together. It is so a great reunion that everyone will have much fun. What’s more, we will drive to our hometown, what is near the city center. There will be fewer people and we can appreciate the beauty of natures.

Life is full of various experiences, of them some are unforgettable. I still remember the hiking experience with my classmates for 16 km a year later. That summer day, we set off early in the morning, think it would be great fun to walk for so long a distance. However, with the weather is getting hotter and hotter, I found their legs heavier and heavier. What’s bad, my feet began bleeding because long time pressing against the shoes. But I managed to make it to the destination (目的地).

Though not pleasant, this journey was impressive or meaningful. I learnt that life is the long journey like this. No matter what happened, we should never give up.

I take part in the Cultural Exchange Week in London last month. Honest speaking, I enjoyed myself in a city. I paid a visit a city museum and some places of interest. They made me have a better understanding of the British society, culture or history. Of course, I also made several new friend there, who hobbies are similar to mine. What’s more, I was lucky to call on a pen friend, Johnson, who had been in touch with myself for a long time. I will never forget the most happiest days that we spent together. When returning to China safely, I felt very satisfying.

Last year, I went to the British high school as an exchange student. In fact, the classes in the UK are different from that in China. I found maths quite easily there because the maths teach materials are less advanced in the UK. However, learning in English was a great challenge for me. I couldn’t fully contribute the class discussion. Fortunate, my teachers and classmates were helpful, from which gave me much encouragement. After schools, I joined several clubs. The one that attract me most was the Rugby Club when I was there. Now, I’m glad to having the experience.
