After limiting the screen time, the minors in China are prohibited against getting tattooed (文身) now.
According to the guideline, which came out on June 6th, 2022, any enterprise, organization and individuals should be stopped from providing inking services. The guideline also prohibits “encouraging or forcing” children into getting tattoos, while encouraging parents to advise their children against getting tattooed.
“All agencies that provide tattooing services should clearly display signs refusing minors, and ask customers to show their IDs if it’s hard to judge their age based on their appearance,” the guideline said.
Tattoo culture has gained popularity especially among the country’s youth in recent years. They regard it as a form of fashion and self expression. However, tattoos haven’t been widely accepted in the society and they might have a bad influence on people in some situations.
Amanla, a tattoo artist in the southwestern Yunnan Province, said he agreed with the ban. He said, “Protection is necessary. But more deeply, it’s also disrespectful for people to do something merely to be cool without knowing what they really want or understanding the pattern being drawn on their body.”
In recent years, several regions have issued local regulations banning tattoo services for children. In June of last year, a court in the eastern Jiangsu Province ordered a tattoo shop to stop tattooing minors after being accused of using ink containing harmful pigments (色素).
Yuan Ningning, a legal advisor specializing in family education law, said that the working guideline has cleared up the responsibilities between different regulators and called for more education and specific punishments.
“The central government has already formed a consensus (共识),” Yuan said. “But it takes a learning process among the local authorities for the guideline to be effective. That’s the first and a very crucial step.”

Director of the ministry’s department of physical, health and arts education Liu Jianjun said PE tests are currently mandatory(强制性的) in the zhongkao in all provincial-level regions, with scores ranging from 30 to 100 points. Based on recent reports the ministry received from local education authorities, most regions plan to significantly increase PE scores in the zhongkao next year, which marks an important development in reforming the evaluation of school physical education, he said.
In late October, Yunnan province increased the zhongkao scores for PE from 50 to 100 points, starting from the fall semester this year, the provincial education department said. It was the first provincial-level region to give PE and the three major subjects—Chinese language, mathematics and English—equal importance in the zhongkao.
The tests are conducted in every semester of middle school and are not intended to differentiate students, the education department said. The department does not encourage students to take after-school cram(塞进的) courses for PE. If they take PE courses seriously, exercise regularly and actively participate in sports competitions, they will achieve high scores in PE, it said.
China’s traditional idea of schooling puts more emphasis on academic education than physical education, and schools often treat PE as less important by not offering enough PE courses. It is also common for teachers in major subjects, such as Chinese language, mathematics and English, to use class time set aside for PE for their own subjects.

Gone are the days when all men had to consider wearing a nice suit to be smart and handsome. Things have changed.
Now, a survey by the University of the West of England (UWE) has suggested that 80% of men are unhappy about their body. The biggest body problems for them were beer bellies and lack of muscles.
Some think this sudden change is due to the pressure or influence of role models we see on TV and in magazines.
People end up with an understanding of what the perfect body should look like. But not everybody wants to put in the effort to have perfect pecs(胸肌) and white teeth like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
A factory has even invented a muscle-enhancing shirt to be worn under a man’s clothes to make him look more of a hunk.
But Joe Warner, the former editor of Men’s Fitness magazine in the UK, thinks the padded shirt is just a gimmick(骗人的玩意). He thinks many people in the country are overweight, and should accept they need to do more exercise.
Warner says, “I think it’s a real shame that people still want short cuts when it doesn’t take an awful lot of efforts to get to the gym or go for a walk.”
Exercise is always a good thing. But we mustn’t forget that beauty is only skin deep. Character is more important than appearance.
So before I head off to the pub, it might be worth spending an hour at the gym. I’m not looking to get a six-pack(块块隆起的腹肌), but looking healthier would certainly improve my confidence and self-esteem.

Meanwhile, men are thought to be born to be rational creatures who naturally know how to lead and do math. However, statistics on personality types report that 75. 5% of women are Feelers and 56. 5% of men are Thinkers. So, right now we see that a huge number of men about 43%- -have Feeling preferences.
According to these numbers, only 25% of women are Thinkers. A majority of women tested are Feelers, but are a majority of women born as Feelers? In many regards, women are still expected to uphold the feminine(女性的) goals of half a century ago- stay pretty, have babies, keep a tidy home, and cook a good nutritious meal every night. Now, in addition to those old standards, most women plan on working and having careers. But even in the workplace, showing a Thinking preference can be problematic. Women who take charge or offer criticism may be seen 88 bossy,
Of courser the question goes to the Thinking men. Boys learn at a young age that being emotional or sensitive can be seen to be less strong. They have been taught not to cry to show that they are brave enough to bear any sufferings. In that case, they are more likely to be less of Feelers.
Maybe Feeler women and Thinker men are not naturally 80.
There is nothing wrong with being a Feeler woman or a Thinker man. Finger painting is a simple activity that involves dipping fingers in paints and then using fingers to create objects and shapes on a piece of paper. All you need is a table at elbow height, a few sheets of plain paper, and a few bottles of watercolor.
When engaging kids in this activity, one should use non-toxic (无毒的) paints only. If not available in the market readily, non-toxic paints can be made at home easily. Preferably, the paints should also be eatable. Finger paints come in bright colors and can be purchased relatively inexpensively. Adults can save money by making their own finger paints using a mixture of cornstarch, food coloring and water.
It is a common fallacy that finger painting is for children alone, rather it’s an activity that can be enjoyed by adults in equal measure. Adults can use rubber gloves while painting to avoid dirty marks of paints on their hands. When a group of people are gathered for an exercise of finger painting, it can be a great way of creating a bond between the group. Art and painting parties are a popular concept in the West. Organizations can also use finger painting as a team-building activity by making participants paint together on a large canvas (画布).
There’s no limit to the expression of feelings in finger painting. All one needs to do is go all out and put all their feelings on a piece of paper by dipping their fingers in paints. While painting, one may unconsciously choose colors that reflect their emotions. For example, you may choose the color red to express your anger or green to express hope. At times you may be confused, and the painting will help you describe your confused state of mind. Once you get your emotions on paper, you are likely to feel relieved.
So what are you waiting for? Plan a finger-painting session soon, and experience the joy.
