Next week I’m travelling to Australia to visit a friend there. I have also read about some iconic     1    (site), I can’t wait     2    (see) all of them. On Oct. 1^st, I’m there in Sydney. Since I arrived, my friend     3    (bring) me to my first open-air barbecue and has also shared many different but yummy meals     4     me, so my first impressions of Australia have been all about food. On Oct. 3^rd, my friend and I have arrived in Katherine. We’re here to learn about the life and customs of the Aborigines.     5    (survive) in this vast land on the ocean, the Aborigines had to be in close contact with nature. This shows in their music,     6     celebrates the natural world and the spiritual world around them. Most of their     7    (music) instruments are really just sticks found on the ground, among which there is     8     amazing instrument called the didgeridoo. On Oct. 6^th, it’s almost time for me to say goodbye to Australia. After being here for a while, my biggest     9    (impress) is the complicated mix of peoples and cultures.     10    (person) speaking, what I like most about Australia is the people themselves. After experiencing Australia, I have to say that I agree with the tourism slogan: There’s nothing like Australia.

In 2014, I was looking through a Facebook group when I spotted a post claiming $200 roundtrip tickets to Dubai, With little     1     (hesitate), I confirmed the deal, checked my calendar and     2     (book) tickets. No asking friends, no waiting     3     job approvals, and no overthinking. It would be my first trip alone.

I met Jibri during the layover. She got my attention and we started chatting about travel deals and groups. During our small talk, I considered     4     (put) my earphones back in or making up a reason to excuse     5     (I). However, I finally decided to continue interacting with the new person and see     6     it could lead, In fact, she left a deep impression on me. Not only     7     we exchange contact information to meet in Dubai, but we joined other travel group members who rented a boat for an afternoon trip.

It was totally outside of my comfort zone! Unexpectedly, I met amazing people and gained     8     (wonder) friendships. I learned     9     (trust) my abilities and instincts(直觉) even when I had to improvise(即兴做事). I learned that strangers were just friends who hadn’t met you. Most importantly, I learned that my suitcase was much     10     (light) when I didn’t fill it with fear.
