Last Sunday, our school held on a 5-kilometer cross-country running race, that attracted many enthusiastic participants. Actually, all the student in our school attended the activity.
The race started from the school gate and ends at the foot of the South Hill, covering five kilometers all together. The whole course was quite difficulty, especially the part near the mountain, narrow but rough. All the participants spared no efforts finish the race.
This race gave us a opportunity to have a deeper understanding of patience as well as build up our bodies. However, we all think highly of it, and expect more activities like this in the future.

After the busy school life started again a month ago, the more exciting part of it came in September when my classmates and I attended the very Heritage Across Borders Program which took place at Zhejiang University. The program mainly focused at how heritage is valued and preserved.

New college life is approached. I’m glad to hear that there will be six clubs for me to join in. Among those six clubs, the drawing club is my favorite one, that I’d most like to choose. On the one hand, I have been learning to draw for several years, but I hope the club can give me more chance to show my talent. On January 5th, students in our school visited Robot World, which we saw different robot. It was amazed to find those robots could do a great number of things just like real people, included playing chess, playing the piano and drawing pictures. What’s more, the robots were in different types and shapes, which made us enjoyable. In addition, that excited me most is the show given by a group of robots. They danced just like dancers on the stage. By visiting Robot World, I have learned a lot of about robots, especial about their functions and shapes. I remember there was a time when I get sick easily. When the weathers changed suddenly, I would get a bad cold and headache. Taking medicine was part of my life, what made me weak and annoying. My doctor suggested that I should take physical exercise regular. Since then I have made a habit to jog in the park near my home. I also play the football with my classmates for my spare time. Gradually my health has improved and I feel much fit. As far as I am concerned, it is the physical activities that makes me healthy and happy.

When I was very young, I was rather thinly, so my mom started to teach me some forms of exercise. Beside, my father’s company used to have an extra building, what had 12 floors with different sports courts. I learn lots of sports there, included tennis, table tennis, basketball and so on. However, a most difficult of all for me was swimming. I didn’t like water, but I finally managed to overcoming my fear. I insisted on practicing every day. After about six months, I found that I could do easily. What’s more, I even won a prize in a competition two year ago. Now I’m strong than before and also know how to be brave.
One of the big reasons why people drop an exercise program are lack of interest. If that you’re doing isn’t fun, it’s hard to keep it up. When pick the right type of exercise, consider our workout personality. For an example, do you like to work out alone? If so, solo sports like running or biking could be for you. Or do you like the sharing motivation and companionship that comes for being part of a team? Then school sports and club teams are great ways to stay actively with others.
Do remember the great thing is that it’s never too late start.
